The Rooms are comfortable but the real beauty is in its location,surroundings. Staff is very courteous, helpful and efficient. Best for self introspection, creative thinking,retreats,get together. Must visit.

I had spent around 4 days at Lakeside Resort at Athur Dindigul and it was one of the best places I visited in my life! The resort is overlooking a beautiful Dam and you can see excellent birdlife and peacocks around the resort. The food was topclass! 
And the host Thalaivi Meenakshi was one of the coolest persons I had ever met in my life! She is a brilliant  adventurous person who has travelled the holy grail of road trips which is the Trans Siberian highway and one can only awe at her brilliant adventure! It was like reading a live version of around the world in 80 days!
Hardcore bikers like myself could truly appreciate the adventure! 
The second day we had spent a beautiful hike in a nearby hill and walk itself was magnificent! The pathway was filled with a canopy of coconut trees and there was a canal of sparkling water that accompanied in our trek! It was sheerly magical! In evenings one can go for a long walk along the banks of the Dam and soak the sheer pristine beauty of the place!
We were fortunate also to visit a nearby farm where we got a chance to meet the wonderful villagers, and also the amazing animals! Even the name of the cows was semma cool! I mean a massive Ongole cow was known as psycho rani, it was really marvelous.
Reminiscing at those moments when I type the above review, I urge everyone to visit the place and go far away from the maddening crowd of the city!

A rustic getaway with a colonial charm that spells tranquility, Lakeside Resort's hospitality is unmatched. Home-made meals that span not just several courses but also several cuisines. An ideal way to spend time with family and friends, or even just with oneself, for that centering experience.

Great location in the midst of nature - so peaceful and calm with really neat and clean rooms, an awesome view of the lake, incredibly helpful and generous staff who gave us a feast everyday! The pool was awesome and a nice place to chill out. Cant wait to take my family and friends to experience this lovely place. Thank you Meenakshi and team - had the best time ever!

Lakeside Guest House is the perfect getaway from the chaos of city life! Rustic cottages, delicious food, extremely courteous staff, breath taking views, a wonderful place to star gaze, soothing sounds of nature..and much more !!! This property is definitely a must stay for anyone looking to get pampered and to enjoy a peaceful holiday!

Great place, great view and great food. The hospitality of staff is good. Has a good swimming pool. Good to visit during winter season. Good to visit with a group of friends or family. I have already visited this property twice.

I recently stayed at Lakeside Resort and had one of the best experiences of my life. The ambience was so inviting and peaceful that I immediately felt relaxed and at home. The best part was the swimming pool which was very well maintained and provided a great way to relax and unwind. The food served here was also amazing and I especially enjoyed the local delicacies. The service provided by the staff was also top-notch, and they made sure that all my needs were taken care of. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay here and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable experience.

We stayed for two nights , with all our friends . We had the best two days . So relaxing when we sit on the veranda looking the lake and mountains . Food was amazing . Hospitality at its best. Staffs were so kind . Rooms were well maintained with all the amenities.

Is there anything more than a 5 star rating..if so I will. This property is really a heaven on earth. I travel a lot n have stayed in so many places arnd the world, but nthng feels more peaceful than this one. Everything from the hospitality, food, cleanliness u can see here . Very calm private place with a clean swimming pool and neat rooms & cottages.  They took us for a 1.5 hours trekking to a hill nearby and it was mind blowing. Added advantage for us - it was drizzling n raining the whole day n the view from the sit area facing the lake was amazing. 

I bet u can’t have such a quality n tasty food anywhere arnd..cook mr.pandi served us d best food ever. Special thanks to Mrs.Meenakshi, the owner of the property who coordinated very well. Hats off to her!! Will be back soon.

Nestled amidst natures bounty, one cannot miss the metallic tuk tuk of the Copper Smith Barbets,, the croaks and squeaks of the Myna, the flash moves of the swift , the up beat percussion of the Crickets, and the sounds of the water ripple. It’s a perfect setting for a poet in the making. Every soul that enters Lakeside returns with a poem that just remains in the memory and lingers forever!!

Everyone gets pampered by the Lakeside ecosystem, Infrastructure and hospitality!!

I have made a promise to the peacocks that just came by me, to the Kingfishers and to the Setting Sun …..a promise to return to Lakeside.

Went to Lakeside to stay quiet, but returned as a poet!!

Along with my wife had a night stay 

Pros
1) excellent team of 5 members who do all job
2) Chef will make food based on your requirements
3) food taste is mesmerising 
4) excellent location 
5) if you are a Shiva bagtha, they will take you to an excellent temple after a half km hill trekking worth visiting (trekking passage will be hard)
6) inside resort itself uou can take bath we spent 5 hrs in lake

Cons
1) no much visiting place nearby 

Will appreciate the team and management for their effort to make our visit most rememberable

We loved lake side !!! It now holds a special place in my heart.. 

We went as 2 couples and 2 kids for 3 nights . Definitely will go back. 😊 it was not enough !!!

The highlights are the silence, the quiet, the peace, the lovely trees, the green, the view of the lake, the rustic property ; the lovely homely staff, with all you need. 

Food was preordered keeping in mind our needs and wants. It was fresh , well cooked, and served with love at the time we wanted. Very very kind staff. 
Kudos to the entire team. 

We did read the negative review about the manager ; we were skeptical, but we’re relieved to find out that the management has changed hands. And that manager had been removed long ago. 

The staff now is extremely trustworthy and ofcourse the current owner; vedhika Arvind ; will go out of the way to make you comfortable. 

The rooms are basic but very very clean and have all you need. A/c comfortable bed ; hot water too. 

Our best hours where just hanging on the lake watching birds move in groups ; when the sun was going down, playing mono deal, swimming in the pool ; reading our kindle; training on their terrace with a fab view. 

Relaxing and watching bees and dragon flies, just soaking in the nature. 

Watching the dawn in the morning :) picturesque!!! 

Lovely goats, dogs, cows, and surrounding mountain and lake view. 

We did some calm colouring, meditation, walk to a small cave temple above with one of lake side crew members.there are other treks too we didn’t have enough time. 

 Overall Very relaxing. It was what we needed; a place where the mind slows down ! Where the to -do lists actually stop :) 

We are definitely going back and this time for longer. 

This is a hidden gem in dindigul.  A must try !

We were two senior couples from Coimbatore looking for an escape after over thirteen months of pandemic and chose Lakeside Resort,Athoor on the banks of the Kamarajar Lake close to Sadayandi temple entrance.

We were received by Manager Sri.Arularasu and shown to our AC rooms which were very cozy and facing the Lake.A clean bed with a comfortable mattress and spotless bathroom is all one requires for a good holiday and Lakeside had it. The beautiful sitout with cushioned canechairs is the highlight of the property and one can sit for hours watching the spectacular view of the mountain and lake and the array of bouganvilla that impreases with a riot of colors on all sides.

A variety of birds including peacocks,sandpipers and kingfishers move close to the building to feed on the grains and we sat still taking pictures of them.You could also relax on the luxurious hammock in a quiet corner below the 'naaval' tree and read a novel..hehe or walkdown tonthe lakefront to watch ducklings swim by.We also had the option of climbing up to the terrace of the main building to get a panoramic view od entire lake. There is a big-enough pool to chill from the heat if one desires to. The six cottages in the property are nicely spread out and designed well for familt privacy.

The cook Pandiyan & asst Muthu were eager to know our taste preferences and fed us with a variety of food that was satisfying. Breakfast fare was fit for a connoisseur with cut fruits ,cornflakes,juice,bread toast, deepfried idlies,poori followed by wonderful chaai/tea or instant coffee. For Lunch we could choose after summoning the cook to give special instructions of choice of dishes.... the feeling  was simply Royal. The young boy Muthu waits on you to cater to anything during the entire period of the breakfast ,lunch & dinner ...the hospitality is striking. Lakeside is blessed with pleasant staff.

Theres a good collection of books and a gift cupboard should you be interested. Carry your own board games & playing cards since it is too hot to move out during afternoons.A trek to the sadayandi cave temple early morning is one option.Try to wakeup early to watch sunrise overthe mountain and particularly the sunset from the lakefront...it will stay etched in memory for a longtime to come.

 During dark nights StarGazing is highly recommended from this property...it simply transports you to the celestial world and you might be lucky to spot a shooting star or a comet.

Overall our twonightrip was memorable from every angle and we wish to thank the management for giving us a perfect holiday.

Highly Recommended if you are looking for a truly  relaxing holiday retreat away from the maddening crowd and a good distance from the pandemic😊

Shangri La of Peace and Quiet

Our large family (10 of us) visited Lakeside during Deepavali weekend. We had taken 4 cottages  (which can comfortable house 3 people) and stayed for 3 nights. The view from the reception cum dining area is spectacular -- it is like nature's TV show and you can sit there and gaze at the lake and hills.  The host and owner Vedhika comes everyday and is always obliging to address any request. The dining is separated for families so you need not worry about covid! We actually forgot about covid during our stay! The food is also very good and included local specialties like fried idly with sweet mashed banana, biryani etc. The resort is fairly large and you can walk inside and also venture out easily to the lake side. You can also explore swimming in the lake. Our family had elders and youngsters and all of them were able to relax. It was truly a memorable trip!
