Good hotel. Nice ammenities. Good service. They have very nice food. The view of nainital is awesome from the hotel. At night the temperature dropped to -2... they provide geysar facility and heater facility also. I recommend the hotel

Amazing view from this resort.. Only No to old age people otherwise very peaceful and beautiful location.Receptionist Pooran Shah assisted us very well in every aspect. The rest of the staff like Deepak etc co-ordinated superbly

Superb Experience

The location is good if snowfall is there, otherwise troublesome location.
Not at all hyganic. Pathetic interior. Room service is good but the food is worst. You don't have option to eat anywhere else. Whatever they cook, you have to eat anyhow.
Owners hate cleanliness and the manager too likes living in room full of dirt and stains. 
They like bedsheets full of stains and chip-chip bathrooms and you have to adjust with all this .
Plese explore other options to stay at Nainital as they are available in plenty and cheaper too.

Good location but pathetic service.

The only good thing about this hotel is a view from hotel. Situated approx 2 kms away from mall road close to snow view point on a very steep road. Very average hotel with low service and not so clean rooms. Taxis are easily available from mall road in 250 inr and from hotel to mall road, as the snow view point is close by. Self driving to this hotel is not suggestible.
  Food was just okay but service was super low. It took almost 1 n half hr to get our dinner. Its better to inform then in advance about your meal. One can get single coil heater in 300 inr per day basis. Overall is suggest this place for young travellers only.

Average hotel with good view

View point resort is @2km from mall road on a steep climb. If you don't have your car, add Rs150 travel cost one way everytime you want to move out. 

Overall, OYO and Expedia goofed up on the booking and we had to spend @40 min at check-in. 

Rooms are bad, congested and definitely not family friendly. The hotel is not a resort but just a lodge. Room, linen and bathrooms were unclean. Management behaved as if they are doing you a favor by having a hotel at this location. 

Our driver was not given a place to sleep, inspite of us offering to pay for the same. Not even on humanitarian grounds due to cold. This seems to be a feature of OYO hotels - something that will prevent me from booking an OYO accommodation hereafter. Another hotel @400 mtrs away (Snow view huts) allowed our driver to stay in their dormitory with bed and blankets -on humanitarian grounds - after we requested their manager. Big call out to Mr Lokesh of Snow view huts for his gesture. Unfortunately, View point resort could not even match this.

While I'll stay away from Expedia and OYO for ever, my suggestion to those looking to book with View point resort is to give it a skip - especially if you are with family. I got swayed by competitive rates and photos online but except for the wonderful view, the place is not worth it.
