Friendly hospitality! Beautiful and peaceful stay. The rooms are clean and satisfactory. Had a great time eating at delicious home cooked food. Unfortunately, I forgot to pick my stuffs in the room while leaving the home stay. I reached station and realized, to my surprise the staff named Uttam called me and asked for my address so that he can courier it and he actually did that. Thanks to you Uttamji. Your hospitality is simply awesome.

I stayed here with my family for 3 days & would say room, location, food etc is very good at the price offered. Most importantly is the hospitality & assistance extended by the staff & the owner. It is not a Hotel but a home stay where you will really feel the homely environment, food & service. If you love homely atmosphere & do not need high end facilities, then this place is ideal as it is not only near  to few main attraction like Tiger hill, Batasi loop but also away from crowd & noise. They will assist you for all local tours at really reasonable price with very good drivers who not only will take care of your comfort & safety but also will take you to all good places where many other drivers will not tell you as that is not much profitable to them. At the end the staff will show their gratitude by respecting you in their traditional way. However as this home stay is slightly up on the hill you have to cross few steps before you step inside the room. 

VIKKYZ Homestay- is an perfect example of home away from home. Those who are in search of solitude away from hustle & bustle of Darjeeling ..Vikkyz home  provides ample
 opportunity to explore the Darjeeling and adjoining hills. Nestled on S. K. ROAD GHOOM,  , & 7-8 mins walking distance from world renowned GHOOM RAILWAY station, It is a travellers delight. The stay provides single or family accomodation and a perfect gateway to explore TIGER HILL  whcih is only 7 km from the property. Food is  good and fresh with a good cook allways at your service. In a nutshell if you want homely  feelings durring your stay in the hills  VIKKYZ HOME  is the perfect answer.

Great Hospitality

Excellent place to stay who love homely atmosphere & food

VIKKYZ HOME -  A  HOME AWAY FROM HOME ---

I'm not sure what to make of this place. It could be 4 star, it could be 2. 

The room itself is comfortable enough. The beds are fairly soft, etc. However it is cold though, with holes in the wall for ventilation it gets cold and damp.

The family are nice, with things mostly left to one man. Communication is a slight issue but you can work around it. However, service is too friendly. For example, after clearly stating that we'd like to sleep until 10am (we'd been out to see the sunrise), we had a knock on the door at 7am and 8am regarding breakfast.

They let us stay until 4pm (check out was 12) which was nice

Food okay

Again, not sure what to make of Ghoom. It's 20 minutes shared can (20 rupees) from Darjeeling. You need to depart outside the train station which is 10 mins walk away. Ghoom and Darjeeling are both very dirty but Ghoom is smaller so slightly more bearable.
