stay in Hotel was ok for rest when you travel, rooms are small but confortable, room have tv and private bathroom and hot water, if you are traveling with car the park is in the front of your room and the main door is closed at night so your car will is in a safe parking lot, staff were friendly.I have received my room key just with my name, I got relaxed and take my time to accommodate and checked in later, no rush for checking in was a plus on this hotel.

nice hotel for low budget travelers

The Hamilton's rooms are small and clean. Our room had a table with chair in the entry; that was the only chair in the room. There is no closet, only hooks on the wall. I understood it is a budget hotel so a comfortable bed, secure parking, hot water, and WiFi were the only requirements. LIght sleepers should be aware that barking dogs may be a problem. My complaint is this: I reserved a room for one person but my Guatemalan goddaughter accompanied me. I fully expected an increase in the rate, which was $24.40 for the night for one person. That is 170 Guatemalan Quetzales.  When I checked in I asked what the increase would be but the young man couldn't tell me (this was all in Spanish). I asked later and got the same answer. When I checked out the next morning, the owner told me the additional charge would be 388 Quetzales--or $55.00--more than double the price for one person. I protested and she reduced the charge to Q308 or US$44.00.  I should have done the math but we were running late and I needed to get on the road. Result: I will NEVER stay here again and I cannot recommend this hotel. As the Spanish expression goes, this was a "robo sin pistola"--a robbery without a gun. As a comparison, the next night I stayed at a hotel in Guatemala City for which I pre-paid $58. The additional person was $20.00, a perfectly reasonable additional charge.

Basic, clean hotel with secure parking

The Hamilton is a clean, basic, and acceptable lodging for a short stay. There is no closet, only hooks on the wall. There is hot water in the shower but not the sink. My room had a small table with chair in the entry; otherwise, seating in on the bed(s). It has good WiFi. If noise bothers you, barking dogs in the night may be a problem. There is free, secure parking.  My only complaint is that I reserved a room for one person but, in the end, there were two of us. Hotels.com quoted the price per room and noted that there would be a charge for additional persons--no surprise. On arrival I asked about the charge but the young man on duty put me off--twice. When I checked out in the morning the owner tried to charge me DOUBLE what I had paid for the room; in other words, twice the cost of another room. I complained and she lowered the charge by $10.00. (In comparison, that night at my hotel in Guatemala City, I was charged 45% or $20 more for the additional person, which was fair.) I regret not arguing further with her but I was running late so accepted the lower price.  I will NEVER stay here again and caution other guests to clarify at the beginning what the total cost will be if you have one or more additional guests. And, don't stay here if you don't speak Spanish; no one speaks English.

Clean hotel

Staff was accessible and helpful. The hotel is easy to find using the Waze App. The hotel is simple, but it is clean and has taste. Ample and secure parking area. One can easily drive to restaurants and attractions. I would choose the hotel on further visits.

A GOOD, CLEAN, VALUE HOTEL OPTION!

The price was budget. However the hotel was quite good for how much I paid. The wifi was only reception area. The room was quite big. The shower was fine. They do not have tea or coffee. But when I asked, they made it for me. The location was fine. I think it is like 5-10 mins walk to the central of town. And this hotel located in historical area. I recommend it

Everything was pretty solid. Shower wasn't very hot but overall I'd stay there again.
