91 reviewsA magical place tucked up in the very northern reaches of Greece beside the Albanian border. This is a unique place sited in a UNESCO geopark. Don't expect the newest bathrooms and a modern swish hotel. Do expect character, lovely people in a friendly family run hotel and do expect to get alongside this fabulous area of outstanding natural beauty with lots of butterflies, birds and more (we saw a tortoise grazing at the side of the road). The hotel proudly serves local produce and our meals were fresh and delicious. No worries with vegy diet either. If you want to join the lovely and enthusiatic Mr George on his wildlife drive to see deer and wildboar in the hotel's land that is fabulous (you need a car). He is exceptionally well versed in local history and conservation initiatives and lots of tips on great local places to visit. We had a fabulous time on this our second visit and we look forward to our third!
