Astro Palace Hotel & Spa

We stayed at Astro Palace for 10 days in September while celebrating our wedding in Santorini, and it was the perfect base for us and our guests. We had several friends and family staying at the hotel too, and it worked brilliantly as a central hub. We choose this hotel as it's just a 10-minute walk into Fira, and it's relatively flat which was ideal for the older guests in our party. The resort itself is compact, with a few buildings arranged around a central pool area, which made it really easy to meet up with everyone without ever feeling crowded or impersonal. Also there are nice views out to sea and rooms with private pools. It is next to a busy room but rooms are well insulated so you never hear the noise at night. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with a wide variety of options to suit everyone, and the rooms were spacious, clean, and modern. Everything about the hotel felt well maintained and thoughtfully run. What really makes Astro Palace stand out, however, is the staff. Hope, Georgia, and Katerina at the front desk were simply wonderful – always warm, friendly, and incredibly helpful. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and they went out of their way to make sure our stay (and that of our guests) was special. They even upgraded some of our family members, including my mum, to a room next to the lift with a walk-in shower, which made all the difference for her mobility needs. Astro Palace gave us the perfect balance of convenience, comfort, and hospitality for such an important trip. We couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay and would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone visiting Santorini.
