Inea Sole Hotel

Just back from a week celebrating husbands 50th Birthday,have had the most relaxing holiday. We arrived at Inea Hotel in heat of 40 degrees to a welcoming free drink at the pool bar. Was shown to our room number 31 very spacious studio with adequate self catering facalilties and much needed air conditioning (free). Good sized balcony with view over the pool and sun from around 2pm so was nice to sit and have breakfast in the shade. Rooms were kept very clean with towels changed regular and bed changed once in our week stay. Bathroom had a shower over a very small bath tub for us this was a luxury compared to some of the accommodations we have stayed in on our travels round Greece. We are more beach people than sitting round the pool but the pool bar staff were very friendly and as previous comments on the price of drinks being expensive they are but they do have happy 2 hours 4pm till 6pm highly recommend the mojitoes best I have ever tasted. The price of food was reasonable but we didn't have any food from bar but it did look nice. All staff were very friendly. The pool was busy every day with locals but this wasn't a problem for us and it wasn't all day the busiest times were from around 3pm to about 6pm. The hotel is in a very good position for all the amenities, beach across the road, with access to lots of other bays which meant when busy you could always find a quite spot with shade as there are lots of trees. Bus stop also across the main road but please be aware that you need to be at the stop on the left hand side of the road for going into Chania, the one with the shelter. There are several of the local supermarkets on the same street as the hotel and Lidli and in ka supermarket are up the next main road from the hotel turn right at the end of the street then right again at the junction follow road up to the hotel Sun City and Lidli is next door and the other big supermarket us across the road from Lidli. We ate out at Flamingo Hotel and Resturant, Talos both these can be found down the first side street as you walk up the street from hotel, we also ate at farmers house just across the street. The Flamingo was very nice all tables set outside, the food was very good Talos was very good which showed in how popular the place is, you need to be very understanding in that you could be waiting a while at busy times, the staff do explain that you may have a wait but I can say the wait is well worth it. I had moussaka which was delicious and my hubby had cod pickled beetroot, walnut and garlic paste, he was told that this meal was the nearest thing they did to fish and chips, it was nothing like fish and chips it was far superior. Farmers House was was good but was more basic. There was Wfi and we had a good connection in room 31 We will defiantly be returning thank you to all at Inea Hotel for making our stay so relaxing and enjoyable.
