Hotel Port 7

We arrived at the hotel on the back street, which is the address above, at 3 or 4pm. On arrival, the door was locked & I had to phone the owner who came within 5 minutes & let us in. The reception desk is on this floor (4th) but is seldom used & the door is always kept locked. He gave us our keys & took us to our room on the 7th floor. The room was spacious and the bed was built in. We had our own balcony overlooking the port, bay & lagoon. (A stunning view!) We had a TV, fridge & some kitchen utensils. Alas the fridge didn't seem to work. The bathroom was small but adequate, although the shower wasn't the best. The hotel is unlike the others hotels nearby as its not so modern but has plenty of charm. The owners are around downstairs on the ground floor cafe from 7am-12 noon & 7pm onward. The elderly couple who own this place were lovely & friendly & I heard from others the food is good but unfortunately we never ate there. The hotel itself seems to be in a lost era but that was part of the experience & I'd certainly come back to it when in the area.
