Residence Le Saint Germain

If you have the means to pay for luxury then right up front - this is not the place for you. We just wanted a clean place as close as possible to most attractions, with a fridge and able to accommodate three people. Residence le St. Germain met all our requirements and more! We were on the third floor, however, there is a small elevator, very helpful with your luggage. Otherwise, it was always faster taking the stairs. The little studio we had provided everything we needed. It had a fully equipped kitchen - including microwave, coffee maker, pot, pans, dishes, etc. Basic furniture, a view over the Saint Germain boulevard and above our street. It was perfect. Until midnight, the small restaurants below were quite happy and active, but honestly, if one come to Paris prepared to go to bed at 9PM, most likely a downtown hotel is not a good option. The furniture is simple and outdated, however, beds are comfortable and nothing falls apart. Wifi is working only in the lobby downstairs, but again, in my opinion, one should spend time in Paris enjoying the real life rather than electronic media. Zak, the guy at the reception, is very nice and helpful. You can contact him by e-mail in advance, when making the reservation, to ensure any special requests can be met. Overall, it is all about a safe and clean place, located 10 minutes walk from the Louxemburg Gardens and Notre Dame, to name just the best known attractions. Perfect place without the frills, for a fair price.
