Great location next to the metro line and across the roads are full range of restaurants. I mean everything! The hotel can help you get reservations in a great local cuisine or “Bouillon” that was always packed. Great staff. Helpful concierge - thanks Oliver! The hotel was difficult to find when driving there for the first time to offload luggage. Even with GPS location it didn’t get you right in front and someone had to walk around and locate. Rooms were large and connecting. I like the separate toilets and bathroom. Saves time in the morning. But would be better to have a small sink in the toilet as you still have to wash your hands. The room size and amenities was refreshing compared to other hotels I stayed in Paris. Full breakfast and lots of room in the dining area. However, Limited 24 hr room service menu after 10pm was disappointing. The bar menu and service was great. The area around the hotel was ideal to “feel” Paris. The Republique square across the road with skate boarders and night music that is heard from your rooms added reality to the vacation. If you want absolute silence and no culture - this is not the location for you. The area has character and with it comes the sounds. We loved it! Hotel was close enough to all the main tourist attractions. Either via the metro right in front, or by car. The main issue is the AC in rooms is not very good though this is not unique to this hotel but a universal problem wherever you go in France. Yet, the AC was kicking in reception. So clearly it’s not the equipment but a hotel choice. Seems a double standard to not give the paying guest the best. They could at least offer fans when guests complain, Small investment to keep the guests happy. In the long term, they need to consider that Europe is heating up and international travelers have different heat thresholds. Their main restaurant also did not have AC as was outside / so we could not stay for our reservations. Loss of business. Comfort of guests, people!! In summary, I highly recommend this hotel and all the shortcomings is overpowered by the positives. It will be our first choice for Paris from now on. Just please buy some fans for our next visit or improve the AC!
