We went to the castle of Menival for a couple of nights, looking for a new experience for two, especially to rest our minds the time of one night in a real castle. From the beginning, the warm welcome of Veronica put us in the atmosphere, the castle is certainly in the city but we were soon completely immersed and cut off from the world the time of one night... We chose for our greatest pleasure the largest room that the castle had to offer, which has an incredible spacious bathtub. So we quickly enjoyed our evening in this just magnificent setting, the mother is perfect, we feel that everything has been studied by a master of the house to be a clean place, thanks to her hosts! A night at the castle... exhausting.

We had a good time at the Château, the bed is very comfortable, the decor is very tasty, the reception is warm and the place is very quiet, a good time resurfacing

The owner

The accommodation is located outside in a residential area; it is very quiet. The room was large and very tastefully furnished. There was enough room for three. The owner was nice; you could speak English well. You need a car if you want to stay there. Parking on the parking lot in front of the house was i.o.

It's a little different, but nice.

In addition to a very warm welcome, we discovered a castle in an unexpected place, rooms as splendid as warm.

The house is perfectly well decorated, with lots of taste and especially very atypical and a real soul. Small but cozy room, large enough to spend two or three nights. The owner is very friendly, and with little care. Lunch with the walker's strawberries, fresh Viennese cuisine, pressed orange juice and homemade jam. She leaves us breakfast until noon because we were home late😏 I recommend this place!

Warm and charming

Nice! Very nice! and stylishly decorated. A small work of art. At least the renovated part. The whole chateau is a huge building that accommodates other tenants beside the hotel. It is still being diligently renovated. But very quietly. Surely you won't find the comfort of a large hotel here, but we didn't miss it. The kindness of the owner and the wonderful ambience have made it more than worth it. Whoever is looking for luxury here is certainly missing the place. But whoever wants to be a guest in a past time is right here. I felt very well. Thank you Madame!

City of Lyon

It feels like home with a common living room, spacious room, 40 square meters, king size bed, and comfortable, a very pleasant step in an unusual place, parking and small outdoor space for smokers.

It's hot.

Booked an expensive room here through Airbnb. Found out afterwards she had it on Booking.com for cheaper. I ended up having to cancel due to a sick pet which isn't covered under travel insurance. Did she care? No. Because of her strict cancellation policy I only got half of my stay back. For the rest of our trips we got a 100% back. Didn't cost her anything as we were cancelling in plenty of time to re-rent the room out. She doesn't even have the listing up anymore. She's just a greedy woman.

Rip off, ungenerous host

If you'd booked the locker room, it used to be the room of the house employees. Accommodation is far from the shot, breakfast is mau and service was kind of irritating, as if guests were supposed to help support the old building financially.

Promising but funny

A very charming and carefully maintained reception in a rather quiet place near the centre of Lyon. Very spacious, clean and well decorated room. Lunch served in a charming dining room. Easy parking. Recommend.
