My girlfriend and I stayed at La Maison de Roussille in June during Euro 2016. We arrived considerably earlier than we had stated but were nonetheless fully accommodated and allowed to leave our bags and head off to the bus stop in Francheville to take the 20 minute bus journey into central Lyon. The hotel is small, clean, excellently decorated and in a quaint location. The couple who run 'La Maison' couldn't have been more helpful. Although their English wasn't fantastic (neither is my French!), they tried everything they could to help us out including giving directions, making up our room early and providing an extensive unscheduled breakfast before our onward travels. Francheville is a quiet French town with excellent cheap transport links to Lyon. Our stay at 'La Maison' was fantastic and it was a shame we couldn't stay longer.
