Fantastic location, wonderful landscape, superior helpful owners, clean and spacious rooms, any time breakfast served, welcome anytime, hospitality of people, feel like family. place for evening relax, lake not far on foot. Excellent.

Fantastic view and trip

Extremely impolite hosts. Obviously, they are using the house to live there during the summer, but this doesn't make it an appropriate place to stay at your holiday. We booked a 35 sq.m.studio room,  one double bed+one single, hot water, wi-fi, lake view and furniture. 
We had a 20 sq.m. basement, 2 single beds and a sofa plus kitchen lace in the same room. There was neither hot water, nor wireless internet. Instead of lake view, we had a "tree-view". The balcony was shared with three more rooms, full of noisy neighbours with kids. One of the boys was singing.....
All their kitchen utensils were dirty and old, some of them broken, in the top of this the kitchen place was in one of the edges of the bedroom. So if you cook something, you will feel the smell all day and night. There was only one window to open and a door. 
We had very big difficulties in finding the location, because they had given a wrong GPS coordinates.
Finally, when we wanted to leave and asked the host to write us a document, verifying that we had been staying there, he didn't want to do it, saying we don't need it. Fortunately the border authorities didn't want this document.

Don`t go there, don`t even think about it.

We stayed at Villa Idila for one night on our way to Montenegro. The best thing that it offers is an incredible view of the Ohrid Lake.  We had really nice time sitting on the terrace with that perfect view of the lake in front of us.  The host was really nice and kind, she tried to do everything to make us feel comfortable. We were offered traditional breakfast and beverages. The room was ok -basic and clean. 
However what i consider distadvantage is the distance to the cetne of the town. It is not suitable to walk it. If you don`t have a car it will be very exhausing and time-consuming. The other disadvantage was the lack of proper WI-fi from our room. I have no idea what is the situation from the other. 
To put it in a nutshel-for a one-night stay we got really proper service-splendid view of the lake and a comfortabe bed to sleep.

IT was OK as a whole for a short stay

I have never felt such warm hospitality, truly like visiting friends. A beautiful location overlooking Lake Orhid, a balcony just outside the door of my room. Not a fancy 5 star hotel but perfectly fine accomodation with en suite bath and the room was good-sized. Definitely eat breakfast and dinner as the food and wine are terrific!

home away from home

The first thing to note is that this place is not a hotel- so if you want fresh towels and a change of sheets every day, this is not the place for you. The owners have owned the place for years and it is a work in progress and so a little rough round the edges. Despite this, the rooms are decent-sized, clean and comfortable with good en-suite facilities and wonderful lake views from the balcony. Evenings spent on the balcony were simply fantastic.
We felt extremely welcome and the hosts helped make our stay very enjoyable. The food prepared for us was wonderful as was the hospitality in general. We will return! Highly recommended.
