CABINN Copenhagen

We stayed at this hotel 2nd May to 5th May 2025 and thoroughly enjoyed it. We booked this hotel based on the excellent value and the proximity of central station. We got the train from the airport, and it took approx. 12 mins 4 stops and cost £6.87 all in for us both. It took us 9 mins to walk from the station to the hotel. The train system operates 24 hours. There are several 7 elevens in the airport, so we bought a few cans for the train journey. We didn’t arrive till after 5pm so managed to check in straight away. The hotel lobby is one of the busiest we’ve seen and was a hub of activity, we overheard one of the team members say the hotel is at full capacity, so it’s quite a popular hotel. There were several team members on front desk duty so check in didn’t take that long, the front desk is available 24 hours. They also speak excellent English. There is a ticket system in operation where you get the ticket from the machine and wait for your number to be called. We were surprised at the size of the hotel which is spanned over 2 separate blocks. We were based in block A on the second floor. There were 4 lifts in operation in this block. The room suited us down to the ground. There was enough room to accommodate us, and the space was well utilised. There was plenty of storage, hangers, power points, mirrors, lights. A bin was provided in addition to a kettle, 2 x cardboard cups, sweetener/creamer/2 x coffee sachets 2 x tea bags, 2 x shower gel sachets and 1 x soap. If you need to replenish the cups or require further coffee sachets/sugar/toiletries etc please ask at reception where they will happily provide you them for free. The TV had 2 English speaking news channels. We loved that the room window could open to let in some fresh air, the past hotels we’ve been in during our travels you couldn’t open the windows. The bathroom features are all in one compact cubicle/setting, we’ve been in several hotels around the world where this is quite common. There is a shower curtain to separate the shower from the sink and toilet, so they don’t get wet. The shower water flow rate is on point and didn’t flood or block. The shower pressure was excellent in addition to the temperature. A squidgy is provided to get rid of any residual water marks or droplets. The bed provided was a double and was extremely comfortable. The duvets were warm, and the pillows were just right. We slept very well for the three nights we were here, and it was so peaceful. The walls are soundproof, and we couldn’t hear anything from the next-door guests. We brought our own travel iron and hairdryer as we knew the rooms didn’t feature these appliances. There is an information sheet in the room that mentions first aid kits, needle and threads, hairdryer and iron/ironing board are available to lent from reception. The Wi-Fi worked excellent (password on keycard sleeve). Didn’t eat at the hotel but there is a little kiosk to the side of reception selling sandwiches/pastries/alcohol etc. Buffet breakfast is available 06.30 to 10:00am Monday to Friday and 07.30 to 10.30am on a weekend the cost is DKK90 (£10.27). Check in is from 3.00pm checkout is 11:00am, its DKK 100 (£11.41) per hour to extend your room. There is a luggage room to store any bags/suitcases etc. There is a gym that is open 06:00 till 22:00pm. Room cleaning isn’t automatic, and you will need to arrange at reception by 10pm the night before if you want your room cleaned (or scan the QR code in the lift). They don’t do a light clean either i.e. replenish towels/remove rubbish. If you do need more towels, toilet rolls or a rubbish bag, please see reception who will provide these. They provide different recycling bins next to the lifts should you wish to recycle. The front of the hotel has bicycles to use and has several outdoor seating areas for people to have a cigarette, drink and just chill. When we first arrived, we needed some mixers for our duty-free vodka so used the 7 eleven that was a 5-minute walk just left of the hotel, in front of the Ikea. Once we got our bearings, we were using a supermarket called Fotex food just along from Tivoli Gardens exit opposite Proud Mary. Pre-packed sandwiches were less than £2, looking at the bank statement we bought 2 x bottles of sprite, 1 x sandwich, 1 x can beer, 1 x bottle of Bacardi breezer and it came to £10.88. We priced the bottles of vodka, and they were less then £10. The bottles of drinking water were also cheap here. We had done our research before arriving in Copenhagen to sniff out the cheap bars. The 3 nights we were here we hit the Floss bar. Wasn’t that much of a walk, once you past Tivoli Gardens and cut over the square it was just down one of the side streets. On the Friday and Saturday nights we visited the first round of 2 x Tuborg bottles and 1 x Somersby cider was £12.59 for 3 drinks. Then on the Sunday night when we visited the same round was much cheaper at £9.16 for 3 drinks. If you can’t get a seat on the first level, there’s plenty of sofas and chairs in the underground level where the pool tables are. We still can’t believe you are allowed to smoke in pubs over here and sparked off nostalgia to a time when you could smoke in a pub in England. We loved this bar and would recommend it. On the Sunday we took a day trip over to Malmo, Sweden. We really enjoyed this and managed to visit 2 countries over the few days. The train journey took about 30 mins and cost £22.67 all in for both of us from Copenhagen and then was £18.81 return from Malmo all in for both of us. Trains were running every 20 minutes to this destination. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our little city break to Copenhagen and Malmo. This hotel served as a great base and catered for all our needs. If we ever return to Copenhagen we will book again and recommend this to friends and family.
