Hotel Milenium

I cannot believe the other reviews so far, who are all in minor. The hotel must have improved since then, because my wife and I had an excellent stay. Location in town centre in pedestrian area. Parking (paid, but free from 18:00-07:00) close by. Our room #3 at the 1st floor was excellent. Spaceous, well maintained, clean and colourfully decorated by a woman's hand. Located at the front (street side) but still quiet because there is little traffic. Staff was very friendly and very helpful. Jihlava town is not a big attraction, but a friendly place to stay if you are on a cross country journey. Yet I couldn't believe how anybody can ruin a nice Czech town square by building an ugly modern monster right in the centre of it. I guess it's about money, just like in my home town. Breakfast was complete and very good, except for the coffee which was unfiltered (like Turkish coffee). I would certainly recommend this hotel to my friends.. Minus: The beds' mattresses were a bit too soft, we both had a back ache the next morning. It's not a real minus, but a dressing mirror (for example on an inside cupboard door) would have been welcome.
