I went to Monte Verde last June with my boyfriend. We drove from São Paulo, it was about 2 hours and the view was beautiful. We stayed a weekend in a small chalet called Bramasole near downtown. The lodging was nice and quite cheap. They have a fireplace in each room and they offer a delicious breakfast. During the day we walked around the city, we went to many stores and bought delicious cheese and jam. We also bought winter clothes. We took some photos. At night we went to restaurants, had soups, wine and a fantastic fondue. Our favourite restaurant was Casa do Fondue, they have a delicious chocolate fondue. We had a great time. Monte Verde is a small city and it has a special atmosphere and the food is wonderful. The only problem was the rain, we couldn’t go out a lot, but the chalet was nice and warm.
