The most friendliest park Saturday night a beautiful  meal as ann is a chef so guaranteed a good meal and entertainment afterwards 2nd time there will go back thanks Ann and Dave will recond to anyone book on time dogs are also welcome and only 25 kms from Cairn.

We spent a week without this campsite near Cairns but far from the effervescence of the big city and also close to Babinda. The campsite is family, very well kept. The price is fair and lower than other campsites in Cairns. The leaves are welcoming. My son loved the biscuits and chocolates received his stay. The campsite is clean, well maintained and very quiet. We highly recommend if to visit the Cairns area, one of the best campsites we are doing during our stay in Australia

Stayed in there safari tent it had a double bed which was very comfortable also had a tv and a full size fridge which come in very handy also had a fan above the bed and a air cooler for those warm days and nights then out on the veranda had a table and chairs..I couldn’t say nothing bad about it was a great holiday park..also had a nice swimming pool for those hot days.

I had a wonderful time at Fishery Falls Holiday Park. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the location was perfect for exploring the area. The park was clean and well-maintained, and the creek was beautiful. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay

A lovely green peaceful spot. Well maintained and clean amenities. The Saturday night live music and Thai food was a bonus. Good value for $20. Per person. The creek at the back of the site was pretty and you could swim in it, but a bit hard to get to if you have old knees. My only negative is that it is a bit far from anything if you want to tour around and sightsee. 

What was initially intended as our passing through stop, on-route to Cairns, turned into an unexpected 7 month stay in our motorhome bus. From our experience, when this happens on your adventure, you have to go with those good feelings and we were SO HAPPY to stay!!
This is an absolutely stunning location, nestled at the base of Mount Sophia (part of Woonoorooran National Park), with Fishery Creek running alongside the boundary of the holiday park. 

Having arrived in July 2019 we spent a few months unpowered at the lower section of the park, which is a large open grassed area that sits right next to the creek. We were self sufficient running off our solar set-up, which received ample sunlight to run our system, all while taking advantage of the afternoon shade beneath the bordering creek trees. However, if power was required for rainy weather, it was accessible as well, all while remaining close to the creek. We moved a few times around this lower area, taking advantage of the TV reception to watch the AFL season too, because we couldn't miss that! This lower area also has an awesome undercover camp kitchen, with a fridge/freezer, BBQ, picnic tables and some polished timber benches with bar stools, so you can enjoy the relaxing atmosphere and stay dry on those lazy rainy days and cool on those hot sun-shiny days. Throughout the "winter" season - yes it did get a bit chilly some nights, we had access to the fire-pit made from river stones, that kept us all warm and toasty and enjoyed many nights star gazing, meeting new people and sharing travel stories. We also had access to a toilet/shower cubicle, which was great, as it saved a walk up to the top section of the park to use the amenities block. 

Fast-forward to late October 2019 and we decided to move up to the top area of the park to a permanent powered site, to take advantage of the shaded powered spots - out of the full heat of the sun (our bus doesn't have air-con..) and have access to power through the rainy months. The top section of the park is made up of mostly powered sites - each generously surrounded by the gorgeous tropical gardens - both with or without concrete slabs. The top camp kitchen is the social meeting hub of the park and has an enormous kitchen with a giant fridge, separate freezer, microwave, gas cooking stove-top, 2 stainless steel gas BBQ plates and 2 large sinks. It has many picnic tables and more wooden bench/bar stools. If you want, there is even a large screen television and access to the internet + mobile phone coverage is so easy from here! The main toilet/shower block is kept immaculate and provides super hot showers with great pressure - a must for anyone who is weary and wants to recharge!! We had access to washing machines and dryers, which are both coin operated and a massive washing line - a huge plus for those who love washing as much as I do :D Also there is a "book swap" feature, which is always nice if you want to read something new and trade a book.
Another bonus of staying at this park through winter was the 'Happy Hour' where we  got to listen to live music each Wednesday and Saturday (Thanks Macca!), along with an addition of delicious Thai food that could be purchased - Ann we loved your cooking!! 

Fully contained cabins are also available at this park, popular on weekends for anyone wanting a relaxing escape at the foot of the mountains. Another big tick of approval, for those keen on fishing, the Deeral boat ramp is nearby, giving you access to the Mulgrave River and opening to the Great Barrier Reef and beyond.
If you are traveling with furry/feathered pets, this park is pet friendly too - yes, I got in my 'dog pat' quota, which was always a joy as we currently have no pets of our own.. There were even traveling cats :D

For those who enjoy swimming there is the pool, which has a peaceful setting and is surrounded by palms and beautiful plants, along with sun loungers with an outlook to the green sugarcane fields and mountains beyond to the north.
However, we both loved Fishery Creek SO MUCH, we swam entirely in the cool clear mountain water, which flows year round. It was probably the highlight of our stay at the park and we just about swam daily when we got the chance, between commuting to Cairns for work and returning to the park to relax.  Nothing quite beats, being able to float on your back looking up into the green overhanging tree canopy, taking in all the various shades of green foliage and vibrant butterflies that float past overhead - our ultimate version of relaxing :)

Through the entirety of our stay, we woke up to the sounds of many tropical bird species, including: green oriole, olive backed sunbird, black butcher bird, torresian imperial pigeon, spangled drongo, bush-stone curlew, green backed honeyeater, blue-faced honeyeater, helmeted friarbird, laughing kookaburra, rainbow lorikeet and sulphur crested cockatoos to name a few - birdwatchers delight! We were fortunate enough to witness many colourful butterfly species that also inhabit this area of Far North Queensland and in particular the mating ritual of the zodiac moth. Much to our delight one morning, we awoke to see the trees that line the creek covered in these spectacular wings, dancing on the breeze and creating a new generation of zodiac moths - mother nature is amazing!

For us there were so many reasons to stay at this park and I feel like I could continue to write about many many more, but the main reason we chose to stay with Fishery Falls Holiday Park, is because it's exactly what it says it is on their highway signage - 'Peaceful & Private'.

We will definitely be back to stay here again and we look forward to returning! A huge thank you to the hosts of this tropical holiday park Dave and Ann and the rest of their dedicated friendly team members Dale, Mark, Julie and Sam!! We miss all of the friendly faces we grew to connect with  throughout our stay and we hope to see you all again soon :)

What a great place to stay, owner was nice and so accommodating, clean and tidy facility's, we stayed here on our way up to the cape and will definatly be staying again on the way back for a couple of days.

Friendly Hosts, Customer service is excellent..Very clean & organised park, Great place to go to just chill out.. Close enough to travel to Cairns.. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay & will definitely be returning.. 

What a pretty caravan park.  Our site was spacious and had a beautiful view to the mountains.  Twice a week the manager (who is a chef) cooked an amazing meal which could be purchased for around $10.  This was available on music nights, where you could listen to music and even have a dance.  Not sure if it’s 12 months of the year so ring and check.  We stayed 9 nights and explored the local area and Athelton.  The staff were very helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. 

We stayed over Easter with four other families, all from Cairns. Great van park. Amenities really clean and well kept considering place was full. Live entertainment Friday and Saturday night great atmosphere. Managers Dave and Anne were so friendly and helpful. Great for a short drive from Cairns (40km). The actual falls are beautiful, easy walk and lovely swimming spot
