Hoi An Merrily Homestay

As Mr Bean would point out, this was a family business hotel, which also meant that there was more of a family communal vibes rather than a soulless big chain hotel vibe. Before arrival, I sent some enquiries regarding some tour options, so upon arrival, Mr Bean actually spent a lot of time planning out my itinerary, injecting his inputs and recommendations to help make a perfect stay in Hoi An. The room itself was very spacious. The bathroom was big, the water pressure from the shower was great, and the marble finish to the sink table was classy. There was a small balcony that afforded one a great view of the neighborhood. The wardrobe/table made great use of space and were very well-made for storage of clothes and other belongings. The king sized bed was also super comfortable. For some reason, the mini bar was very, very fairly priced, hence if you feel peckish or thirsty in the middle of the night, you could just use the mini bar. There is a mini mart beside the hotel though, which closes at 10/11pm. As a family hotel, the breakfast buffet isn’t a crazy huge spread, yet it still manages to include western and Asian choices, along with a live omelette station. The staff, English speaking or not, from the receptionists to the cleaning crew, were all friendly, kind and smiley, if not polite. Nga (Nha?) also helped me book my trip to Hue and Hoi An Memories show, taking care to explain and schedule it for me such that it was a seamless experience. Totally recommend.
