lovely welcoming and  clean hotel in a great setting. Car park was small, but was able to find a space. Easy reach of St Alban's for pubs and restaurants. I would recommend staying here rather than the in the city centre. Could be for small breaks around Hertfordshire.

The hotel is lovely and clean, all the staff where amazing and made the familys stay really good.
The man at night was really helpful and gave us really good tips on where to go during the day/night. The team at the restaurant where really good as well.

The hotel was down a dark lane with a bumpy road, nevertheless it was easy to find, although as I arrived late and the hotel was fully booked the front car park was full, although having a small car I was able to squeeze in near the bushes, the car park lighting wasn't brilliant but sufficient.  The receptionist was very nice and I was allocated a ground floor room as requested.  The room was immaculate, and the bed was well made and clean, and the bathroom was spotless too, I never find beds that suit me to be honest as I do like a soft mattress but saying that although the bed was firmish it was ok.  I stayed last time I came to area in the Borehamwood branch and the Bricket Wood branch was a much better stay as it was quieter, and very clean.  I would definitely stay at this Premier Inn on my next vist in the New Year, 10/10 for a budget price.

Warm welcome, smooth check in and free parking. Room was generally clean. The hotel looked a little tired and could do with a lick of paint but, for what we needed (a bed for the night after a long flight) it was just what we needed. Although the restaurant was closed, we were warned in plenty of time of this and there was even a further written apology in the room.

Rooms are extremely clean, comfortable and spacious. Check in was quick and easy. Staff are friendly and available to help.

Stayed for my birthday after visiting the Harry Potter studios. Nice place very clean and the staff where attentive and helpful. The restaurant closed at 8 for dinner and the bar was closed aswell which was very disappointing and a let down to the hotel as there is no where else near by as the hotel is very isolated.

Beautifully clean room and the most friendliest staff I think we’ve ever encountered at a premier inn. The hotel is tucked away and took a while to find but is set in a lovely surrounding. Only issue I will point out was the corridor smelt strongly of a certain smoking plant which wasn’t pleasant but couldn’t smell anything in the room.

We visited Harry Potter world (only 15min drive away!) super comfortable room. Food was amazing and good value for money. Hotel price was great and worth every penny. Near to m25 but inside the hotel was super quiet. There’s also some resident ducks that hang around by the river and the mill!

On approaching the hotel I was worried if it would be ok as the road leading to the car park was in bad repair. 
But I couldn’t have been more wrong. From the moment we stepped through the doors the staff were super friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be using the hotel again. 

We needed a hotel close enough to London and the Warner Brothers studio for Harry Potter. The hotel is in a really lovely location, although the main road on the back could be heard in the morning. The rooms were clean and had everything we needed. Staff in the hotel were lovely and always ready to help. We paid extra for dinner and breakfast in the Beefeater next door which was very handy. The evening meal was nothing special and I’d say overpriced for the quality. The Manageress was lovely and very friendly, but her and her staff seemed incredibly overworked and busy. Specifically breakfast when she was the only staff member serving a very busy breakfast service. I know staffing is at an all time low at the moment, but surely she could have had some help. Kudos to her for keeping a smile on her face and staying professional.

Wonderful staff

Needed a place in the area to stay. Staff in hotel and beefeater all friendly and helpful. Chose here on location and price. Room was quite big, clean  but only 1 dining style chair which was not that comfortable. Free WiFi very slow and dropped out a lot so used a mobile hotspot as it's expensive for the hotels paid WiFi. Inside the rooms was quiet even though the M25 is very close. Used the meal deal several times in the beefeater next door steaks and big chips were good ( had 3 times) but the pork ribs were not and the small fries cold and inedible. Located out by itself but has free parking. Would stay again

Better than expected

Nice hotel in a pretty rural location if you ignore the M25 next door. We were not aware of the motorway once inside the building. Lovely big room with a proper heater and a window that opened. Free parking and a few miles from St Albans. Taxis seem rather expensive; we were quoted £14 each way so chose to drive in which was the best option. We were not impressed with the Beefeater opposite the hotel, and there is nothing else within easy reach, so we took to eating late in St Albans and not going out in the evening. Lots of lovely places to eat and drink in St Albans. Had a smashing break

Good location for St Albans

The hotel was a typical Premier Inn, and none the worse for that. The staff were, without exception, cheerful, friendly and helpful. The associated "Beefeater" restaurant is in a sympathetically converted old watermill, and worth the visit on its own. Breakfasts were plentiful and well cooked, I had "full English" whilst my wife had "continental". One very minor gripe that she had was the absence of maple syrup even though it's on the menu. If I ever need to return to St. Albans I would stay here again.
