It was clean, quiet, safe and helpful staff.

The rooms are really small. Smaller than you could imagine. This was the branding for the hotel though hence the 5 stars because everything else is great! Service was good, location was amazing, and I got some free coffee from the staff. Very nice.

I love the view from the room and how easy I can get to everywhere

The first thing I will mention is the elephant in the room. The rooms in an Easy Hotel are small. They are essentially just a bed and a shower/toilet room. I've stayed in an Easy Hotel before and that is perfectly fine for me. I'm only going to be sleeping and showering there anyway.Edinburgh Easy Hotel is much like that but it is also smack bang in the centre of Edinburgh. You can literally walk out the front door and see the castle. Tram and bus stops are right there too, as well as cafes, other eateries and shops.The only thing I might mention about the Edinburgh Easy Hotel is that I could hear people talking in the rooms next to mine. If you are a light sleeper then you may want to bear that in mind. Me, I wouldn't hear a nuclear bomb!Overall I was very happy with my stay. The staff were pleasant, the room comfy and warm (in a very cold January Edinburgh) and it was cheap. That gave me more money to enjoy beautiful Edinburgh.

Staff were amazing. I left something behind in my room and staff were accommodating in getting to back to me. Would stay again.

Very nice receptionist. Rooms very small but we knew that. We had paid extra for a window and what a view. The hotel is very central with a view of the park and castle. 
Only minus was that it was very cold with drafts from the extremely large window. Otherwise nice and clean hotel and the room contained what it should. 
Not for the walking impaired as there are only stairs.

Funny small hotel with the most fantastic view

Great central location! I had a room at the back so it was super quiet. Staff accommodating and as I stayed multi days it was easy to get clean towels. i was offered a mid stay room clean but I did not need it.Good pressure hot shower and a comfortable bed - great if you want to spend your time and money out of the hotel exploring the city.

Small but comfy city centre rooms

The room was very clean and the staff were beyond friendly. I knew the room would be small, but not this small. The restroom was TINY and my feet were in the shower when I sat on the toilet. There was hardly any walking space and it was quite uncomfortable for 2 ppl with luggage. If you are planning to be solo in the room and not have too much luggage, then this is perfect. It feels like a dorm.

When we arrived at the hotel the 1st thing we noticed was that there was no lift, so if you have mobility issues, this hotel isn't for you. The stairs up to the reception were quite steep and my partner had to stop halfway as she has trouble with her hip and knee and is not great with stairs.    The receptionist was very helpful and pleasant. Luckily, we were placed on the first floor, so there were no more stairs to climb.        As we entered we noticed how little room there was and that the bed virtually filled the room, but that was no problem as we were going to be out for most of the day and evening. The bathroom was fairly tight too, but adequate, and the bed was quite comfortable.         What made up for it all was the spectacular view we had of Edinburgh Castle and the old town as the wall was virtually all glass.          The location of the hotel was great, with bus stops right outside the hotel and Princes Street Gardens opposite.

Tight Fit

as a women solo traveler I war really happy with my stay in easy hotel! It is very central so you can access everything easily by foot. The room was small and didn't have a window, but that didn't bother me at all since I was alone and only went to my room in the evening. The staff was very very nice and always helpful. There is someone at the reception 24/7 so you can always get help whenever you need which also made me feel quite safe. would totally recommend staying here want to have a cheap room which is very central:)

It was clean and easy access from Princess Street. So the location is superb. Room clean although how to get a small room as that messy woud be a challenge.Room just big enough for a double bed. So no drawers or wardrobes. Tea and coffee was available in the reception, but not in the room.OK to stop for a couple of days or overnight. No good if you want a table to work at.

The Best View for Light Travelers

As long you understand how small the room will be, this place is great. The staff are very kind and the area is unbeatable in terms of how walkable the whole area is. Edinburgh castle is a stunning view to wake up to. The only thing I would call out that I didn’t get a great sense of in the description/ reviews is the noise level. We stayed on the second floor and the noise from the street made it tough to sleep past about 6:30-7 AM. But really great if you’re like me and looking to travel on a budget but stay in the best location
