We stayed here on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th March.
No problem at all. Room clean, bed comfortable and a lovely bar / restaurant down 
stairs.
We will definitely return and stay here again.

Very Happy

I feel the price I paid for the room was very expensive, considering the Room is very dated, we had a family room but there were cups for 2, there were no glasses in the room, the telly on a table in the corner of the room and not wall mounted so could not watch whilst in bed. 
Bathroom was very small, small shower having a shower curtain which could not really be used, as it was would stick and wrap around you body. I certainly would not recommend using unless there is nothing else available and this is your last resort.

Dated and not worth the amount you pay

I would not recommend staying here to anyone. We stayed for two nights and didnt get much sleep at all. There were people right outside smoking and shouting until very late, people running in the corridors at 2am, the hotel is very dated, bed uncomfortable, carpets stained, weird damp smells, no breakfast available. Generally just a rubbish place to stay. 

Terrible hotel

Sarah was very helpful when there was an issue with the booking. 
Kirsty the manager also came in to help out, can’t rate them highly enough, both very helpful. 
They both phoned HRG repeatedly to try and fix the situation, and it was very helpful considering I’d travelled 4 hours!

We checked in to the Helensburgh seafront Hotel for a funeral. We arrived early just before check in time and Kirstie the hotel manager gave us the key to our room. She was friendly and professional at all times, the hotel itself is clean and well kept. If we need to be in the area again we will definitely use the hotel but would like a Seaview next time.

Friendly staff

The rooms were impeccably clean and comfortable, our only issue was we arrived as walk ins at 23:20 and the gentleman on reception informed us there were no rooms available, however I was able to book online from the car park and go back in with my confirmation email. We asked the gentleman why he said there were no rooms available and his reply was “it’s too much hassle to do it on this computer” luckily we had the technology to book online but I’d dread to think about others who don’t. 


Poor customer service on night reception.

I come here about 6 times a year to visit family who live locally. I travel alone and the staff here always make me feel welcome and are consistently helpful and friendly. The rooms are always super clean and I have no trouble sleeping as I feel safe to just relax. The place is quiet inside and out. Some rooms have fantastic views.
Not a luxury hotel but everything you need is in the room and if you dont see it ...just ask!
Sometimes the grandchildren come to stay with me for the night as the family rooms are good value too. They love it and are always made welcome. Their ages range from 13 to 4 and they have all had a turn at visiting!
The Commodore (the attached restaurant) serves good food and again they are good at looking after customers dining alone, families and young children.

Friendly and Helpful again!

This hotel is in a beautiful location with plenty of free parking. Beds are comfortable. I would stay here again If the price was right. I only paid £54 which I found was worth it. The rooms aren't the cleanest but the bed was spotless and we had a great sleep. The shower is really small so when you're having a wash the curtain sticks to you 😂! Nice coffee machine and a few choices to drink but make sure the other guests in the room are awake as it's really noisy. The restaurant downstairs(another review) makes it even better. We went down and sat outside for a few drinks before heading into the town for a meal but after viewing the menu we decided to cancel and stay in the restaurant here instead. 

Very basic but comfy bed and does the job.

Kirstie and Kerry were really helpful with check in, very friendly! The hotel is close to the town and they were able to give recommendations of where to go, which was really appreciated. And on top of that the room is excellent, great sea view! Would definitely recommend staying here.

Our trip started stressful however upon arrival Kerry at the desk made us feel at ease, making the children laugh and helping us get organised! Can’t thank her and the team enough! Hotel was friendly and clean!
