My girls and i have stayed in this hotel 4 times and we are just about to book our 5th stay. We have had a variety of rooms from a double, room for 5 and so on and each have been perfect for what we were looking for. Each has their own flaws but nothing that u cant see past, a lukewarm shower...it still does the trick and cleans u. We wouldnt go anywhere else as the service we have received here has been great. 10.30am leaving time q bit of a shock but means u can have a lovely breakfast before u leave! For £25.00pp i wouldnt grumble!

Perfect for a night on the tiles!

The room was good. It had 4 single beds and a nice lounge area. The bathroom was decent and we had a TV and a very comfortable couch. The breakfast was good, traditional english but not a buffet type. The hotel is technically in Gateshead but we walked into Newcastle city centre in 10 to 15 minutes which was fine. Getting a taxi back from Newcastle city centre after a night out is impossible anyway.

Decent stay

The hotel is on the Gateshead side of the River Tyne approx. 15 minutes walk to the Gateshead Metro bus centre and approximately 2 miles into Newcastle Quayside area. (Approximately £5 in a taxi). Area around the Bewick is slightly run down although we did not see any trouble on our stay. 
Hotel looked to be having some renovation works on-going although we were not distracted by any noise. The Hotel looked slightly dated although our room did appear to have been renovated recently. Only real complaint regarding the room was the walls appeared to have some scuff marks and could have been touched up. TV in the room with modern fridge. Bathroom was quite tidy no complaints.
Breakfast could best be described as poor, and appeared to be an inconvenience to the proprietor. Food was not very appetising, most people appeared to have left most of the breakfast and there was no effort on the staffs part to clear up dirty plates on the surrounding tables.
There appeared to be some worked on-going in the lounge adjoining the dining room which could best be described as a dumping ground for laundry etc. (Not very appealing when eating your breakfast.)
All in all pretty much as expected as this hotel was not the most expensive in the Newcastle area, breakfast and lounge area appear to be spoiling the efforts being carried out by the owners to raise standards.

Over  night stay in the Bewick Hotel

just be careful when entering and leaving good in ya room might go missing so other wise just take it as it is rooms are cold as the heating not so good needs a good up hall in standard care and decor staff are all rightish but could be a bit more responsive 

looks not to good

this was a deciant one till it got taken over a herd and from the out side it look ruff and scraggy and not very appling from the out side but the in side not to bad but needs better cleaning done and better staff attitude for customers over all its tour choice but not for me yuk
