We received a friendly welcome. The room was clean and had all the facilities we needed. The meal we had in the restaurant in the evening was absolutely delicious and good value for money, as was breakfast the following morning. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again!

Quaint Cotswolds village property. Loved our stay!  Food and beverages were delicious.

Wonderful accommodation with friendly and welcoming staff. Perfect base for exploring the Cotswolds.

Lovely village pub, with a friendly welcome.Food was great, room clean and comfortable.When informed that I'd have to leave before breakfast, there was no hesitation in providing me with a packed continental breakfast of croissants, yogurt, juice and jam.I think I've found a new favourite for when I'm working in the area!

Nice building, above a pub-restaurant, kind and friendly service. Pet friendly. The room was rather small, without even a small wardrobe. The bathroom was really minimal, with the toilet practically wedged under the sink.Excellent starting point during our visit between Wiltshire and Gloucestershire, good for a weekend.Good breakfast overall, both in terms of quality and the range of items on offer. Overall, a good evaluation of the structure from my point of view. In my opinion, the cost was slightly high considering the service offered.

Good place to visit the Cirencester area.

Great Place To Stay

What a little gem. We booked for one night, great value, staff amazing, and beautiful location in picturesque village.  We booked a table for Sunday lunch and it was the best roast we’d had in a long time. My only comment would be bar closed early on a Sunday night but bar staff still served is a drink to have in our room. Would definitely recommend and stay again

Could not fault this charming country pub with excellently appointed rooms.  Food, service, cleanliness all of a very high standard - an example to many others.  We had a first-class Sunday roast, along with a hundred or so others (which tells its own story), followed by a comfortable overnight stay and an excellent breakfast.  Outstanding value.

Could not be bettered

Very quaint country pub with rooms. The food was excellent, good wholesome English food, very generous generous portions. Fabulous log fires and good atmosphere. The room was small and cute, nicely done. The only downside was that the bathroom was extremely wet from condensation after a shower. Breakfast was fast and again very good.

Roaring fires and fantastic food.

Staying here feels like being on the set of an Inspector Morse episode. The hotel, which is essentially a charming inn, boasts a cozy bar/restaurant (just as you'd imagine), and the rooms are clean, well-equipped, and inviting. The breakfast is excellent—it's included but still served à la carte. Of course, travelers should keep in mind that this is an inn, not a luxury hotel, so please consider this review in that context. Please note that this part of the UK is off grid on your cell phone, so if you are expecting important calls this is not the area.

Wow, What a Gem! Charming, Charming, Charming

We have just returned from a two night stay at The Mason Arms. 
We stayed in room 3, which was lovely and clean, although very compact. I’m a fairly big man and I found the en-suite toilet & shower room, a tight fit. As with most hotels en-suites, there was a distinct lack of shelving for toiletries. There was however, a free standing rack, which better than nothing. 
It was lovely and clean and the towels were great, nice and fluffy. 
When showering, the floor got wet as there was no curtain or door to prevent the overspray. The shower was otherwise fine and shampoo, confectioner etc. is supplied, as is a hairdryer. 
The bedside tables do look trendy, however, they are too small for practical purposes. The bed was really comfortable and the pillows were good quality. 
The breakfast and dinner was very good, with plenty of choice. 
There was really only parking for 3 cars in the car park, without blocking anyone in. So you may have to park on the road which is not lit at night. 
A great pub, definitely worth a visit.

Snug, but a lovely stay

Rooms were small but can be pretty cozy. Service depends on the staff working on the day itself. We had the room cleaned well after the first night, however the subsequent service was not as great - room was barely tidied up. Breakfast quality also depends on the chef for the day, so it can be inconsistent too. Overall still a nice stay though.

Just wow!!! From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, my daughter and I were in total heave.  The venue itself was beautiful, spotlessly clean and immaculately presented.  All the staff were lovely, super friendly and helpful.  Our bedroom was a double with ensuite shower room, overlooking a walled paddock, with blossom trees in full bloom and two stunning horses.  The room itself was beautifully decorated with everything we needed for our nights stay.  I’d asked for a bottle of fizz and a balloon to be in the room for our arrival as it was my daughter’s birthday.  This was taken care of perfectly, in fact, there were two balloons!!!   The bed and pillows, oh wow…..best nights sleep I’ve had in a long time! We dined in the bar area in the evening because we’d taken our dog, and quite rightly, dogs aren’t permitted in the restaurant area.  The food was absolutely delicious, and such generous portions! There are dog treats on the bar and water a bowl for our furry friends, so they can enjoy the dining experience too.  This hotel  is so geared up for dogs, they supply poo   bags, bows, towels and cleaning spray should the weather call for such a thing. We had an excellent breakfast in the morning before checking out at 11am, again, absolutely delicious and very generous portions. I honestly can’t rate this place highly enough, in fact, it’s a 10 out of 5!!!!   If looking to book in this beautiful part of the world, look no further, you’ve found it!!

Absolutely stunningly beautiful ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Attending a wedding and  made a little holiday out of it. Stayed 4-nights. 
Arrived Saturday night. Had pre-booked dinner in the restaurant.

The room was immaculate. Hospitality tray refreshed daily and also contained bottled water. The bathroom had lovely cosmetics - bar soap,  shower gel, shampoo and conditioner replenished. Would prefer to see large dispensers attached to the wall to avoid plastic waste but that is just a preference. The bathroom was immaculate and a credit to the housekeeper. Fantastic.
I took a magnifying mirror so I could get my wedding make up right so no issues. 
Room was a little dark (Room 7) but this is a beautiful charming country pub and to be expected.

Breakfast? Brilliant. Anything you wanted…and plenty of it.

Ate in the reasonably priced restaurant 2 nights. Faultless.

Dog friendly…even towels, dog menu and treats!!
Highly recommended with lovely, polite staff.
