A Twist Of Lyme

Stayed here last night 30th October. On arrival Judith and Mark made us feel so welcome. This little gem is in a great location with amazing views. There is everything you could possibly  need for a stay and it seems that nothing is too much trouble to make your stay comfortable. All social distance guidelines were adhered too, with gel etc in your room and downstairs. The breakfast was amazing a lot of choice and cooked to order we even had fresh strawberries as well. I would highly recommend this fab B and B and if we are in the area again we would definitely try and book again. Thank you so much.

Just a stay at the Lyme tree house what a beautiful place the hosts are lovely and friendly , the rooms are just beautiful very comfortable,  the views are outstanding  , the breakfast is cooked fresh you order on the morning and it's superb and red hot definitely recommend it 

Judith & Mark are wonderful hosts who have a natural ability to make you feel welcome & interested in you as guests. The rooms are immaculate, the beds are incredibly comfortable; the breakfast is delicious. This was our third stay here & will definitely return again & would thoroughly recommend to others.

We stayed here for three nights and really enjoyed the place. It's in a very handy location just off the A35 and within easy striking distance of Lyme Regis, Seaton, Beer, Sidmouth, etc. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfasts were really great - amazing local sausages and bacon but plenty of other choices, fresh fruit, cereals etc. Mark and Judith were very hospitable with some good suggestions for what do in the area. Highly recommended.

We have just finished a seven night stay with Judith and Mark here at Lyme Tree and have to say what a real treat it was. Our hosts were the friendliest people you could want to stay with, nothing was to much trouble for them, and the breakfasts were absolutely wonderful.
The room we stayed in, the Langdon, was extremely spacious with an equally roomy bathroom. The views from the windows were over the Axe valley to the front and to the rear over a wildlife haven of a garden.
Next time we are in the area will will definitely be staying here again.

Absolutely excellent, when we arrived we were warmly greeted, totally explained how things were being run because of COVID,
The room was spacious and clean, a good size bed. The en-suite was very nice also. Breakfast was yummy 

We stayed in the Cobb room for three nights. The room was lovely and the bed was comfortable and a good size. The en-suite shower room had a powerful shower. Various choices for breakfast for all tastes and diets. But the full English was a particular favourite and delicious with locally sourced products. The perfect location meant you were only a short drive from everywhere and the lovely owners, Judith and Mark made the whole visit a pleasure.

I really enjoyed my stay here for three nights in the Cobb room. Particularly appreciated the comfy bed and pillows, the hearty breakfast with local ingredients served piping hot, and the lots of thoughtful small touches. Post Covid there were a lot of safety measures like hand sanitiser/ controlled seatings at breakfast. I felt really safe and Judith and Mark were both really nice and helpful, it felt more like staying at a friends. Lots of nice day trips within easy driving distance including to Lyme Regis, West Bay, Seatown, River Cottage HQ and Axmouth.

I have stayed in a lot of B&B's over the years and I can honestly say this is the BEST I have ever stayed in! Judith & Mark were the perfect hosts they were very attentive,but not in your face. Nothing was too much trouble for them to make sure you had everything you needed for a comfortable stay. The premises were clean tidy and fresh. What I really noticed was the small personal touches that you dont always get elsewhere. The food was fresh hot and excellent quality. The bed was most comfortable. Location and scenery stunning. After a difficult period of lockdown we were the first guests on reopening. All provisions were in place to adhere to new rules. Couldnt have asked for anything more. Friendly chat with social distancing over breakfast. Perfect. Thankyou so much we had a lovely weekend. Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone we knew. Also will be looking forward to returning at some point in the future. Well done !!

We had a one night stay in September whilst visiting a friend who lives locally. The room was spacious comfortable and well appointed.  Fresh milk was available for the tea and coffee facilities which is always a welcome touch.
Our hosts were very welcoming, chatty and friendly.
The choice of fare at breakfast was extensive, well presented and freshly cooked to order. 
We will definitely stay here again when next in the area.

A delightful stay.

Judith and Mark made me very welcome in this lovely B&B just outside Axminster.  My visit to River Cottage was made all the more pleasurable by having a very relaxing time at Lyme Tree House.
My room particularly looked west towards the Axe Valley and the velux window could be pushed open so that you felt as though you were on the roof, which gave extended views towards the setting sun, on what was the hottest Bank Holiday weekend on record.
  
A generous breakfast with a wide variety of foods on offer for all pallets, was served in the same relaxed atmosphere as when I arrived.

With a good mix of other travellers there it was a most enjoyable stay and one I hope to repeat.

We spent 2 nights at Judith and Mark's property and we were not disappointed. The bedrooms are very comfortable with amazing views. They are both very friendly and made us feel very welcome. It's a great place to base yourself when visiting Lyme Regis, Charmouth and the surrounding area. We definitely recommend a visit!
