Akra Kemer - All Inclusive

First time at Akra was a hit ❤️ This was my first time travelling to Turkey so I wasn’t sure what to expect. After reviewing so many different hotels all over Turkey we landed on 3 (one of which was the Akra) then a friend recommended it to us so we booked it. We booked a basic room for 11 nights family of 3 (child 7 years). Room The room was big and spacious and the air con was excellent. We had a slight view of the pool and we were happy. Our balcony was quite small but we had asked before we arrived for a “quieter room” which it was so no complaints. Friends we met upgraded to a 4th floor penthouse suite and if you are able to then I would do it as it was fantastic. Staff The staff at the Akra are the best we have experienced. They honestly go out their way for you so much. Nothing is a problem for them. A special mention to Tom (entertainment team) who is just fantastic with the guests and ends up becoming a friend. He is brilliant and remembers everyone’s names and just makes the place feel good. Ufuk at the swim up bar, Sevda in the kids club was amazing and Yunis in the main restaurant. Thank you all. But honestly all of the staff were brilliant and really attentive. Akra kemer your staff are world class. Pool area Pools are great. There’s a kids pool with 3 slides, a family pool with a swim up bar and a relax pool also for everyone and has a nice chilled vibe. The lifeguards also deserve a mention as they are fantastic and are so on the ball. It makes everything feel really safe and you can relax as a parent. Pool areas are very clean and tidy. Drinks are served by waiters / waitresses on skates and agin they are brilliant. Always very attentive. Food We found the of excellent standard and actually used the buffet quite a bit. I’m usually quite fussy but the main buffet restaurant again was fantastic and staff work tirelessly to ensure everything is spotless, well presented and everyone is attended to. The al la carts were great too. Our fave was the Italian and the Mexican (outside at the beach). We also tried Asian and sea food and also very nice. The only slight thing that is a bit frustrating is booking the al la carts as you have to book at midnight on the app (literally at midnight - set your alarm at 11:59) or book through guest relations but most of them where full when we went. How we via the app we managed to still book all of them so all good. Entertainment / Kids club There was a mini disco on every night at 8:45pm and then a show at the family theatre (some amazing some ok) and then always live music or a dj on at the party area. The kids club is excellent. My daughter only went in a few times when she made a wee friend but our experience of it was 10 out of 10. They take Your number and just what’s app when the child wants picked up. It’s also on to 11pm which may suit some families as I know a few of the kids didn’t want to leave it 🤣 so meant the parents could go upstairs to the adult bar if they wanted to. Adult bar We only used this once but it’s at the tip of the hotel and had stunning drinks and views overlooking the pool and beach it was lovely. Coffee shop This is a little piece of heaven in the hotel. Serves deserts, coffees, teas, cakes, detox water it’s so lovely. Lobby bar The staff in here again are amazing and all the drinks are premium drinks. It’s got a lovely feel to it and has music (piano, violin) most nights. If you are wondering whether or not to book this hotel I would say book it definetly you won’t be disappointed. I am very fussy regarding service, food, cleanliness, safety and I thought it was fantastic. All in all we had an amazing time. The hotel feels really compact and safe with loads to do and a great family feel. We will definetly be retiring…thank you Akra.
