First impressions are not good, but at $26 a night with breakfast you shouldn't complain. Units are a bit dated and in need of attention, but I would not say they're dirty. There are a lot of repairs going on in preparation for high season, which is a good thing. Plus: Resort is in tranquil surroundings along the riverside. It's a welcome break from the hustle and bustle of town. Friendly owners, although limited English Aircon and hot water Tips: The resort is about 8 km out of town, so if you have a Backpack, rent a scooter in town and scoot to the resort. If you have suitcases get dropped off and then for 200Bhat the owner will take you into town.... Renting a scooter is a must if you stay here. Typically scooter rentals are about 200Bhat a day. This is also the best way to explore the area. Suggestion: If you have a scooter, no need to book tours, everything is well marked. If you scoot out to Erawan Waterfalls, fill up in Katchsmburi and you'll make it there without refuelling. There is a petrol station in the town before you turn to the falls.... Fill up for your return trip. There is a great night market where locals hang out along the main road. Good food and wares are much cheaper than Bangkok. Just enjoy, the resort will grow on you. Breakfast was good. We stayed for two nights. Death bridge, museums etc. Ate obviously a must.
