I booked last minute for a much-needed detox through an agent. I was expecting the usual juice retreat, i.e. a range of different juices over the day to get maximum nutrients, but Life Co is way more towards detox - there are food options too, but the liquid fasts are either 'master detox' which is a mix of bentonite clay, psyllium husk and 25% juice/75% water 5x a day, or green juice only (with an apple/ginger drink first thing) 6x a day. Master detox comes with daily colemas which I didn't feel was good/necessary. I did 5 days master but didn't feel it was working for me, so switched to 5 days green juice for the second half of my stay. To Life Co's credit, they were accommodating and let me have a bit more apple in the juices, which made the green juice more palatable! The room was great, perfect WiFi, nice loud air con (I need white noise to sleep!) and daily cleaning. I had a view over the lake too which was lovely. There are a few pools on the complex, but if you are into sunbathing you have to move around a bit to get the sun! I spent afternoons by the club house pool, I was lucky nobody else seemed to want to do the same as the pool is tiny - but as it was just me it was like having a private pool. There are regular shuttles to the nearby beach, takes just 5 minutes in the van. Disappointingly they didn't have the 5pm shuttle every day, which is a good one as you can see the sunset at that time. I would suggest that they do the pick up a bit later - the sun was setting at 6.40pm but we had to get to the return shuttle for 6.15pm. Often, the driver would wait, but of course this could put out other guests so only if you were alone. They were also accommodating (by including free treatments in my stay to compensate) when I complained via my agency about the lack of exercise options - I was hoping to experience Muay Thai and do some yin yoga, but despite the leaflets saying these classes were on once a week as group sessions, they never materialised. The only option for exercise seems to be very beginners-targeted yoga or breathwork - no opportunity for those who wished to do something more energetic/dynamic. I booked a 1:1 Muay Thai session with Wa, it was fantastic but not cheap (€50). I would not return, but I don't regret going. Would rather try Absolute Sanctuary in Koh Samui or another place in Phuket which have more inclusive packages and more choice for working out.
