Having travelled extensively in South Korea, we knew that Korean island tend to be a bit more isolated than other city locations. We decided on this hotel based on it having (a) coffee shop and (b) a supermarket. Proved to be a bonus. Was a bit concerned when the elevator door opened and we saw stained hall carpet, but our concerns disappeared once we were in our room. The rooms are quite spacious with all having either an ocean or mountain view. Ours overlooked the ocean which provided a pleasant start to each day! The room itself was immaculate with the usual features including bar fridge, large flat screen tv and free internet. Bathroom was functional with the shower having a large shower-head and optional hand-held spray. For those not familiar with Korean bathrooms there are no shower curtains which means the floor gets wet and the water drains away through the floor waste hole (only a real issue if you put your items on the floor or near the shower). Also Koreans use hand-towel sized towels and that was the case at the We'six. We had 6 for our room so was not really an issue. Also Korean beds are quite firm (they sleep on futons on the floor) so the beds are not 'hard' to them. I found the bed quite comfortable, despite the firmness. The service from the young guy at the front desk was exceptional. Despite only having moderate english he helped us out on numerous occasions. Nothing was too hard for him! At one point we found ourselves in an isolated location, rang the hotel and he came and picked us up! The coffee shop provides good coffee, some eats and a pleasant atmosphere to take in the local scenery, while the grocery shop had many basic items +. We had a wonderful time here and would recommend it to anyone looking to have a relaxing couple of days.
