Thandile Country Lodge

This was the best trip we ever experienced. The horses, zebras and giraffes are tame. The horses can to the kids to touch. 
The hostess Magdel served us dinner and breakfast - it was absolutely delicious

We came for horse riding mainly, as a family 3years old and 5 years old. My kids were scared now that they were closer to the horses including my teenagers.

It’s was their 1st time. I salute the team, they convinced them and encouraged them in showing how they operate. Before we knew it the little ones started 1st and the whole family was enjoying 

Kobus was even friendly and showed us around.

Me and my family had the most amazing time, the rooms are beautiful and clean. They have good service. I loved everything about this lodge 😍😍😍 The owners are very friendly so is the stuff. I am defending coming back ❤️❤️❤️

We went to Thandile Country Lodge with our family. We were 11 people in total. The owners treated us like family and the hospitality was amazing!
The atmosphere was very quiet and relaxed. 
This was our second time there, and we will definitely go again!

We did our horse riding @thandilecountrylodge.They welcomed us with warm hands and our ride was very fun.I was scared to ride my horse but they gave me assurance that nothing will happen.

If you are looking for a place that feels like a home away from home, with friendly people, excellent service, good company, clean atmosphere, Thandile Country Lodge is the perfect place.  It's perfect for when you just want to be quiet or looking for inspiration.  We cannot wait to go again.

In general, the lodge is excellent and a very peaceful place. The rooms of the lodge exquisitly clean. The one problem we experience was location of the lodge, in particular the 5 kilometers  stretch of gravel road. 

Everything we expected and more for a farm stay and excellent hosts. 
Surrounded by nature and animals added to the ambiance for a special weekend away. 
Hiking on the farm and view the beautiful Giraffe .  The Shack restaurant 5 min drive away for a drink and bite to eat with the locals. 

The lodge is very peaceful and has beautiful views. We went horse riding on the mountain which was magnificent and my four year old daughter was brave enough to do the hours riding with us up the mountain. She had her own horse and not scared to ride alone. We also went for the game drive nearby which was also great I would definitely recommend Thandile Country Lodge

This guesthouse is a hidden gem, a short drive outside Bela Bela. The owners are incredibly friendly and treat you as if you're family. The rooms are comfortable and spacious, and the large house with its tall ceilings and thick walls transports you back in time, to period when life was far less complicated than it is today. Allowing guest to truly unwind and relax. There is an on-site restaurant with a balcony that overlooks two ponds, where zebras and horses casually roam by and drink to their heart's content. Definitely a place I will be visiting again with my family!

Lovely place

Magdel and Cobus were very hospitable and made every effort to make our stay amazing . The facilities were excellent. The food was amazing and so homely. The horse riding was a spectacular experience . The kids had a lot of fun. The staff were caring and always willing to help.

Family Outing

We had a lovely weekend away for my wife’s 40th Birthday . The rooms were spacious , need and clean . We enjoyed the horse riding and also spent some time in the pool which was really lovely . Thank you for a wonderful stay at Thandile Lodge and we hope to come back soon

Great Weekend away

Friendly staff, excellent service and peace quiet at this value is amazing. 
We arrived pretty late but we found the owner waiting to welcome us and gave us a tour around the house.... Our intention was to rest and that what we got.

Peace quiet

Great value for money! The location is beautiful with animals roaming freely. Horse ride with the kids is one to remember. Hosts were very pleasant and made us feel at home. Just a bit dusty but that could have been from the construction going on.

Excellent location

Hidden Gem in the Bushveld!

Very friendly, helpful hosts, beautiful area, great walks on the property. We went on a family horse ride and saw zebras and giraffes whilst riding - real highlight. Also very close to warmbaths resort which is great for kids.

Loved our stay

Went there with family and friends we had a great stay, Magdel and Kobus  as well as the staff gave us a warm welcome and treated us kindly throughout our stay. The kids loved the horse riding and the fact that the place is not far from Warmbath Resort.

Lovely stay at Thandile Lodge

We had great time and experience in the bush cottages,it's private and exotic,if want to get away from city life,the cottage is the place to be. Horse riding trails on top of the mountain. The owners are very nice and welcoming.
