I stayed here in 2017 when I came to poland as an erasmus student.  I was looking for a place to stay at the beginning, but unfortunately I could not talk to them because I do not know the polish language . Thanks to the hostel owner, we talked to a few places, but unfortunately we couldn't get along because it was too high for us, and the excellent host and his sweet family told us that we could stay here for a small monthly fee.  As 2 young girls they provided us with a reliable place.  Hector was now our dog.  We had such a great time that I don't know how to thank you.  I hope to visit you with my husband as soon as the covid-19 ends.  I will never forget the good you have done for us.  I'm talking about the hostel, it has very sweet and cozy rooms, there is a kitchen, you can cook any food you want.  Entries and exits are encrypted, so safe.  what can i say, it's definitely a place to stay.  Close to train and tram station, you can rent a cycle from hosteI. I came here from Turkey and it became my second home.  Thanks again

Best hostel in poland and best hospitality

I fell in love with this hostel.
Placed in a terraced house, run by young dedicated owners, hosted by a dog, several cats and a tortoise. Shelves of books, a turntable, an upright piano and many more fancy details create the atmosphere.
Toys for children and a garden to play or sunbathe.
Three stops from the University of Gdańsk, walking distance to a small cinema.
Own night-lamp at each bed in dormitories, three clean bathrooms for around 14 guests.
Definitely pick it for longer slow stays or if you are a weekend student.

A slow-life hostel

We were really pleasantly surprised by the hostel. The beds and mattresses seemed (presumably) almost new, the room still smelled like a furniture house. We were in a six-person room, except for one more person. You could also park right in front of the hostel, as it is not directly in the center of town, but in a more quiet location. For the price it is really perfect! There is also a locking bin (hanging lock) For anyone looking for a cheap accommodation in Danzig for 1.2 nights, highly recommended.

A hostel is no better.

We stayed at this hostel for 7 nights and it turned out to be a very good hostel with very helpful staff and a wonderful friendly atmosphere where you will feel like home. There is a big dog but no need to bother he is very friendly as well.

A very welcoming hostel.

Wolna Chata is like second home. There are friendly owners to welcome you and advise on sightseeing, beach, culture events or anything you want to see or do. Rooms are very clean, with nice views over the garden or a small and quiet street. Good quality WiFi on the whole premise. Breakfast is basic (bread, cheese, jam, honey, corn flakes) but what else do you need when being in Gdańsk? You need great company - in Wolna Chata I have met some wonderful people who became my friends! 
There are also some friendly animals kept in the hostel: cats, a dog and a water tortoise:)

Great home stay

near the train station, tram station. 
there are near the big supermarket.(u can buy easy to food, everything.) 

it's good garden for relax. 
good wifi, i can use from my room as well. 
good hot water shower.

if u wanna stay little long time in Gdansk, here is good option. 
when i slept here, so calm, nothing crowded. slept well. 



good atmosphere here, like a home.

I visited Poland 10 times and I’'ve  never been satisfied with other hostels in Poland except for this hostel.
 Good points
1= Good kitchen with almost any utensils and equipment.
2=It has garden 
3=High speed WIFI
4=Free breakfast (well it is basic but as much as you can eat with bread and cheese and coffee ,tea and vegetables and corn flakes.)
5= Clean rooms
6=24hour access (in other hostels in Poland sometimes you must wait for receptionist to check in cas they do not stay all the time in hosteas.)
7=Nice workers 
8=strong and stable shower
9=Close to markets(Cheap and good supermarket Biedronka in 5 minutes walk. small shops in 3minutes walk. 24hour shop in 4 minnutes walk)
10= BBQ in the garden is great here!!!( U see my pictures.)

Bad point
1= Some animals in the common room ( A dos and 3 cats ,,,so for a person who cannot stay with animal this hostel is not good. Beside all the animals were nice and cute~!)

 Believe me,,,I can recommend this hostel to my tipradivisor friends with my pride.

Best Hostel I ever stayed in Poland．

Unfortunately my girlfriend and I found ourselves staying in this hostel: we arrived at 2 pm and there were no blankets in the room(castle bed and another who did not allow us to sleep together))...we came back at 9 pm and they were still not there and we already understood everything here!!!
