We wanted to stop off somewhere on our journey from the Bay of Islands to the Coromandel Peninsula, and I'm so pleased we came across Millwood. The setting is idyllic, and although nearby Warkworth doesn't have much to it, we were able to find somewhere for dinner with some help from our lovely hosts. Melanie and Ian were extremely welcoming and gave us lots of helpful hints and tips for our trip - thank you! Our room was extremely comfortable, it had a great shower, and a lovely view across their beautiful garden. They also have a lovely big guest sitting room, which we didn't have time to make use of, but it looked very comfortable. Breakfast was on of the best we had over our 3 week trip. Melanie's homemade muesli and jams were delicious, and the cooked breakfast was very well made. Excellent value, highly recommend!
