A beautiful peaceful location in the midst of the old city of Marrakech. What makes Riad Melhoun stand out even more are the excellent staff. Everyone was so welcoming and helpful. From the welcome where you are greeted with tea and shown around the facility, to the local orientation they provide, the staff make you feel welcome and like family. The service was at a level of locations that charge two to three times the price. In addition, there is the wonderful food that the kitchen staff makes on a daily basis. We were only able to enjoy one of the wonderful morning breakfasts. If you get the chance, do a lunch or dinner at the Riad - you won't regret it. Our dinner there was our best meal the entire time we were in Marrakech. Be sure to arrange your transport from the airport to the Riad directly from them. They were very helpful in doing transport in both directions, but on arrival you definitely want to coordinate because the car can get close to the Riad but you still have to walk a little because of the width of the roads. They arranged for a person to assist us by hauling our bags in a cart directly to the front of the Riad. There is also a bank a short distance away where you can get cash from the ATM and not charged the excessive transaction fees. It was the people at the Riad that made the experience. We felt extremely welcome and safe and the caring staff were what made this experience so memorable and we would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the old city.
