La Kasbah de l'Artiste

Where should I start? Morocco is such a magical place to visit and the best of the best place to stay is the Kasbah de l'Artiste near Ouarzazate! The hosts, the Bendra family, were so welcoming in making us feel at home that we didn't want to leave. The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated with lovely handwoven rugs and the remarkable paintings by Azdine Bendra, one of hosts. The food is deliciously prepared and can be eaten inside or al fresco. Jim and I are artists and we particularly enjoyed being able to take treks out to the countryside to paint with Azdine, a UNESCO sponsored artist. Day trips can easily be arranged and it's always a treat to come 'home' the the Kasbah de l'Artiste.
