We just spent three nights at this budget guest house. The staff were so helpful with organising our ferry to Langkawi and our bus back to KL. Food is spectacular at the restaurant next door. What a lovely and interesting man is the owner”uncle “. We’ll definitely be back.

Affordable and super helpful and friendly

The room is quite small but the facilities are good. There is tv in the room, good water pressure to shower, big shampoo and soap and also hair dryer. There is also this big laundry machine outside for the guest. I think it is pretty good deal

Good

Private family business (on the first floor they live alone, on the second floor of the room), all at home, in slippers. Water in the cooler is free. At the reception there is a whole basket with free chocolate candy: tea or coffee was very convenient. In the room you can choose the most convenient and air conditioning and ventilator. The location in the city center is basically good, everything is accessible on foot. From minutes: 85 rm per room without windows seemed expensive. Especially considering that it is a guesthouse where everyone has a common place.

It's expensive for a guesthouse.

This guesthouse is small but comfortable. The bed is comfy and clean and the shared bathroom was clean with a great shower.  It's family run and the staff were really helpful and friendly. It's in a good location.  10 mins out of George town and 10mins to the embassy.  The room was perfect size for two people on a budget. With a ceiling fan Tv and aircon, wifi was fast. Restaurant next door and 7/11 pretty much opposite. Would definitely go back again to stay here. 

Budget clean and friendly

I have been staying with them whenever am in Penang. This guesthouse is managed by a family member who takes turn to sit at the front desk. They also own the next door eating place (Kristal). 

The guesthouse is a minimalist type. You may choose a room with or without shower. I find the place is clean, comfortably and value for money eventhough the shower room is a bit too small (even for asian). 

All in all, the place is centrally located. It is within a walking distance to Thai and Burmese Temple, Pulau Tikus Wet Market, and 24h Indian food. The vegetarian and noodle soup (night time only) are very popular.

You dont have to spend much on transport (taxi) during your stay. 

Minimalist, value for money and good location.

Room for 3 people was very small, it was basically a box with two beds that touches each side of the wall, my father had to walk sideways to move around the room and he's not even a big man and the ceiling is too short. If you are claustrophobic like me then this is not for you, it was a struggle but was too hot and humid to drag around luggage to search for new place. It was clean though but maybe there's bigger rooms but that I don't know...friendly owner. 

Clean but tiny room

Great guest house, next time in Penang I'll stop there. A new, small, clean house, very friendly hosts, ready to offer discounts and additional services. It's a 5-minute walk to bus stops, shops, restaurants. It's a 10-15 minute walk to the embassy of Thailand and Indonesia. The neighboring building is an unusually tasty Chinese restaurant owned by the same hosts as the guest house.
