17 reviewsI spent five nights at the Hotel Senlici in July with my partner as we were attending a wedding in nearby Jelgava. It was an absolute delight. The hotel is reasonably priced, well appointed and friendly. We opted for a suite, which exceeded any expectations I had. There was a cute, homely feel to the rooms which were also slightly themed. In the bedroom there were prints of lambs on the pillows and two sheep soft toys on the bed. The lounge had a lily pad theme with two frog soft toys. The overall ambiance of this was adorable. There’s a lot going on at the Senlici, with a restaurant, cafe, bar, bakery and expansive children’s play area. We ate in the restaurant two evenings and I have to say the food is homely and really good, one of the delights being the baked Alaska. I would happily visit the Senlici again and thoroughly recommend it to all travellers, singles, couples and families. One tip I must make is that it is advisable to call the hotel ahead of your arrival to see if they can arrange a pick up from Riga airport. This would avoid the ferociously expensive airport taxis, a fare from Riga to the Senlici can cost up to €90!
