Yufuin Onsen Yufunoi YUHRI

Four of us stopped overnight in two rooms April 2018. The room was massive by Japanese standards and excellently appointed. The highlight was the huge bathroom and the stone roten-buro ( open air onsen ). Complete privacy is assured so bathing can carried out as it should be done Japanese style, with no fear of being overlooked even for prudish Europeans. The evening meal(washoku style) is provided in a private dining room located inside the main building and was excellent. We opted for japanese style breakfast to, although a western style breakfast was offered. The staff were extremely helpful even though their English is very limited and made us feel at home. This isn't a cheap stay but for the cost it offers a taste of true Japanese overnight stay in with an air of tranquility and calm. I can't recommend it enough. Absolutely ideal for a relaxing, and romantic overnight stay.
