FUJI GUESTHOUSE AO - Hostel

We loved our time at Fuji Guesthouse. We stayed in their traditional Japanese room, which was spacious for the two of us the night before we began our Mt. Fuji ascent. Both staff members we interacted with were not only kind during our stay, but extended their hospitality beyond it, offering us to store our luggage while we were on the mountain, and allowing us to shower upon our return. It was a great experience in a small town. Next time I find myself in Fujikawaguchiko, I will certainly try to stay here.

A great hostel with a comfortable lobby, complimentary snacks and coffee, and friendly staff. The private corner suite is great value for the money. Will stay again!

Lovely guest house , the hosts are amazing can help with lots of information and to arrange tours,  the rooms and shared facilities are very clean , they offer free to use bikes which makes visiting the local area very easy , the view of mount Fuji from the room and balcony is amazing ,overall a great stay would recommend,

We enjoyed our stay very much even though its just for a night. The view of Mt Fuji was amazing from the rooftop. There are a few good restaurant around the place. walking distance to the main station.

An outstanding hostel out of my expectation! Only few minutes walk from the Kawaguchi station, a full view of Mt Fuji can be seen on top roof of the hostel. I had a Japanese style room and it's really clean and spacious! The host are very nice and friendly, they have a cute daughter too! Highly recommended!!!!

Our stay here was amazing, great customer service, extremely clean place, nice little kitchen, free bike hire and coffees. The roof terrace and view from our bedroom of Mount Fuji was sensational.

Had a great stay! The couple running the guesthouse were lovely and so was their child. The facilities are new, very clean and situated on a main road a short walk from Kawaguchiko Station. There are bicycles available and a nice place to eat a snack and a rooftop terrace which we did not use on account of the snow. The only issue with walking there, was that there was no real sidewalk to speak of and because of the snow on the streets narrowing the lane ways the cars would come fairly close to us while walking there.Had a lovely stay and a great price for such nice, new facilities. If you are looking for a great backpackers stay, this is a good one.

Great guesthouse

I highly recommend this property. Clean and modern with an exceptionally friendly host and hostess. Stayed in a comfortable twin room with views of Mt Fuji. Used bikes from the guesthouse to cycle around the lake.Steep internal stairs so not suitable for young children.Walked past it the first time as didn't notice the small Fuji Guesthouse sign outside. Located in same street as the post office about 100 metres after a petrol station and car dealership on the right ( coming from the station). I would definitely stay there again.

Location is not far from Train station. Twins room can have Mt Fuji view.Staff is nice. Bicycle is free to use.Room is simple but clean.

host is detailed minded for introducing the guesthouse facilities and nearby restaurantsnot much time staying at rooftop as weather is not gd for viewing the fuji
