For a hostel it's fine. The bathroom is small but clean, as is the bathroom. The castle bed with a thin but comfortable mattress thanks to the rooftops. Courtesy and gentle owner. The road to get there is steep, asphalted yes, but narrow and climbing. Having an enduro bike I had some problems, at the end of the stretch there is a parking lot 300 meters from the hostel.

Clean and uncluttered hostel

It's okay that I was looking for a place last minute on Easter Day, but, who knows the location of the place, should first of all discourage the booking given my indication of arrival time (from 11pm to midnight). Instead, the idea of charging the full price of a room kept for half a day, instead of a refusal with the right reasons, is too much. Motivations, not too soon. First of all, the way to get to the place: free of hazardous guardrails and impasse, as well as enough to drive a vehicle at a time.

It's scary!

It's a little super isolated, but fortunately clean, and what's even more astounding is the owner's really unwilling attitude, and the breakfast is so poor that we had to beg Burrini and marmalade and slices of biscuits that, by the way, together with the crust of the White Mill, it was breakfast.

When courtesy is optional

We discovered the hostel by chance last year, together with Lugo's friends from Ravenna, to spend 2 days in Santa Margherita for scuba diving! This year we chose the hostel specifically for its panorama on the gulf, the clean air that you breathe but also to see Mrs. Nora whom we loved for her spirit and personality! I recommend it especially to those who love to be in simple environments and at the same time fascinating.

♪ In the Garden of Eden

What does not emerge from the description of the hostel - and therefore important to highlight - is the impoverished and dangerous location of the resort - probably derived from its name. The structure, which has not been added and the scenario will be unnoticed by several people living on the same street, is in fact located on the summit of a 4 km long road with a single lane, as well as a picturesque panorama of the hills surrounding the sea in the background.

Dangerous Place to Reach

We have stayed in this "hotel" (youth hostel would be more correct) for only one night on our way back to France. For one night, it's quite fine! 
First remark, it is not easy to reach: you will take a small road going up from Recco to the mountain behind. Don't worry, go to -almost- the very end of the road and you will find the hotel (with a red mailbox!). You will not be allowed to park there, you will need to go back about 500 m to find a parking place. This is far from being convenient especially during the night (no public lights, but the hotel will most likely give you a torch if you register before sunset...).
The comfort of the rooms is minimal: No TV, poor Wifi if any, shared bathrooms. But it will be calm. You will just hear a faded sound of cars riding the autostrada. Breakfast is an extra charge of a few euros. You may prefer to take it downtown. 
If all this doesn't discourage you, you will be pleased to meet a very nice and welcoming owner lady!
