We spent one night in this hotel on our honeymoon. The view of the salt flats and the terrace of room 3 where we were staying is unique and the real strength of the building. The weak point is the organization. The one who arrives is a little disoriented so that we finally went to the bar below to ask for information. The terrace of the room is wonderful but to enjoy it fully would be useful from the outside lights. We took a pizza to eat on the terrace but we had to take advantage of the light of the stairs.

Unforgettable location but organization improved

We really enjoyed this night. Our room (simple but well maintained) was number three. Only from here you can access the terrace above the building. The view is magnificent especially at sunset.

If you're not a fan of the 5-star hotels but prefer the scenic effect, the Window on the Salt is your hotel in Marsala! It's a fairy tale to call it a hotel: rather an old fishing lodge or something like that re-adapted to a hotel, with 3 (I said three!) rooms, which if you're not like me booking in excessively large rooms in advance, you can forget about them. The rooms are decorative, they're not the best, but the view directly on the salt pans, which are not more than a foot away, is absolutely in-on-the-pe-ra-bi-le! And you wake up in the morning in the Tenziano lagoon, with the workers already working in the salt pans and the old man who's got a lot of freshness from the protagonist in front of you, you remember after most of the holidays in August, but you've got to go to the restaurant, but especially if you've got to go to the last part of the street, you can't go to the restaurant, and you've got to go to the restaurant, but you've got to

Look at me and believe!

This B&B is located above the Mamma Caura restaurant next to the boatman for Mozia and around the Stagnone, so in an optimal position. The room was very new with everything you can wish for including the boiler, but the surplus was the balcony overlooking the windmill and the salt pans. Breakfast is served in the old mill and we liked it very much unlike other reviews. The bread with oil and the various types of salt for us was a return to childhood. For those sitting here the visit to the museum is free. For someone a lunch might be that being above the restaurant there is a bit of noise.

A brand new B&B with a great view

We stayed three nights, and this was the highlight of our trip to Sicily.  The sunsets were incredible.  The proximity to the boat to Motya was convenient.  The proximity to Mamma Caura, a wonderful cafe, was fortuitous.  The service was impeccable.  Breakfasts were bounteous and served with eligence in the windmill.  Wow!  Wow!  Wow!

Incredible Sunsets!

We've been in this building for four days. The location is really fantastic, the view of the salt flats at sunset is unique. It's a shame that this is not accompanied by adequate service. And it's not small!! The disorganization is obvious.. checking in and checking out is a business; you have to wait for the ladies who handle the museum to deliver the keys and then return them (not before 9.30 in the morning, I would say a little late). Breakfast, another business!!! The underground bar opens before 9.20, so if you're not morning like us, you have to take the car and look for a bar in the surrounding area (we mistakenly moved towards Marsala and found a bar after 20 minutes!!!).

Improved!

My husband and I stayed here two nights in April, and really enjoyed the view out on the salt flats and the comforts/atmosphere of the room. You will feel as if you are at the end of the world, and this location is definitely preferable to staying in Marsala or Trapani, which have quite chaotic traffic and insecure parking arrangements. The only caution I would advise is that the rooms are affiliated with the salt museum, so to the extent you need anything you have to handle it during the museum's opening hours. The bar/restaurant downstairs (Mamma Caura) is well stocked friendly but opens quite late if you want breakfast (9am) and closes too early for dinner (7pm). Additionally, on our second night out we found that we'd been locked out of the parking area and had to leave the car in a vacant dirt lot across the street. Cothon, down the road a few km, is a great option for dinner if you want to avoid Marsala and have easy parking and great food/atmosphere.

B&B essential. a very pleasant experience. above the most famous mama caura bar. breakfast in the large mill with a chance to visit it, but too expensive compared to the service offered, 8€ per person.

Essentially fabulous.

We slept one night in the middle of this fantastic place. The people who run the salt pans are very available, and breakfast was served on the second floor right inside the mill... peace of mind. The bread with all the salt types here... the delicious oil... everything is very good. As for the room above the bar, it was clean and well set. The mosquito machine saved us. Quiet and at night there's a guard who watches the bottom all night.
