Locanda La Sosta

If you have an interest in winery's in one of the very beatiful areas in Italy, the Valpolicella area, and you need a place to stay, do not miss out on Locanda La Sosta. It is a small hotel, with only 8 rooms, but it has all what you need for a stay in this beautiful region. The rooms are not overly luxurious, but they have everything you need, including nice beds and bathrooms, and they are cleaned daily. Yes, the hotel is right next to a round about with some traffic, but this is not really a hassle. What this hotel also has, is a high-above average pizzeria, making pizza's as they should be made in Italy, thin and crispy, and with a large variety of fillings that will ensure that you find a new favorite every night you eat here. The Hotel is located in the center of Valpolicella, which ensures you a short driving distance to almost any winery in the region, and you will have the keys to access the hotel 24/7, as it is not manned in the hours between 10 and 16. This was not an issue for us, as we spent our time out in the winery's and in the beautiful cities of Lazise and Sirmione. Oh, and one more thing - the Pizzaria - apart from serving some very delicious pizzas, they have this wonderfull host - Daniella - who brighten up any room with her smile, and makes every guest feel speciel, and have a special energy that really set this place apart from any pizzeria in the area. I truly hope, it is not the last time we have visited this hotel, and this region
