B&B Ca' Ori

This B&B is absolutely wonderful and although it had been highly recommended to me by a family member, it exceeded all expectations. It is an extremely short distance from beautiful Lake Garda, and is a hidden treasure in the area of Caprino Veronese. The house is an eclectic mix of authentic rustic Italian on the exterior but inside is architecturally contemporary with some fascinating ornaments and art work. We took both family rooms and had a floor to ourselves with very spacious rooms and bathroom. Our breakfasts (which I'll come to later) were served on a lovely sunlit terrace and ours kids (12,11,10 and 9) had endless fun in the pool with the lovely owners daughters. What made our holiday however as well as this gorgeous building and its proximity to local sites, was the warmth and help from the owners Christina and Marino. Christina took the time to meet us in the village when we arrived and led us to the house where she proceeded to make us coffee, drinks for the children and fresh fruit. (Not many B&Bs do that). The couple gave us perfect advice about where to eat and how to tackle tourist spots. We were so impressed that we asked to stay an extra night and when the couple realised that they were already booked and couldn't accommodate us, they spent an inordinate amount of time searching for rooms in Verona. Their advice was invaluable and they went above and beyond what was expected of them and all completed with a smile and friendly chat. Finally, and this was something close to our hearts, the breakfasts were superb. The food was all fresh produce, delicious and varied with home baked and cooked items as well as a variety of cereals, yogurts and fruit and nuts. The dishes kept coming and we loved every minute of it. I cannot rate this value for money B&B highly enough so if you're looking for a place to stay with warmth and heart instead of a soul less hotel, then this is the place for you.
