Worse experience of my life.  Staff are so rude. We stayed in the apartments and a man came in at 11.05am screaming at young girls to get out.  The kitchen is so small. 

It was a very bad experience!

On a positive note it was clean and the beds are nice.

It's not worth it. Spend your money somewhere else. Alot nicer places to stay.

Avoid

Lanigans Hostel was a very nice location to stay. It was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the food at their restaurant across the street was amazing. We had some issues with plumbing but they were quickly resolved when we informed the owners. Very friendly and welcoming people.

Very Nice!

My friends have stayed in many hostels, but we’ve never stayed in one as nice as this. This hostel almost felt like a hotel. It was very clean and felt very homey. I felt like I was staying in a friend’s home. The common area was a slo a very nice touch.

Best hostel ever

Stayed in the Watergate apartments with a group of 16. A big thanks to Ciara for the help getting sorted and Arif during our stay, nothing was a problem. Would highly recommend if looking for accomodation for a large group in Kilkenny. 

Great accommodation for large groups 

We had dinner as part of a hen party this weekend 08/07/23. To say I have never been to a restaurant and pub that had such bad food and service.. 2 people had to send back cesar salads last night as the chicken even smelled gone off and one cesar salad came out with no chicken at all ... All the other food that was served was burnt...
The main course was brought out before starters were even cleaned up from the table and then random dishes were brought to the 3 tables we had, instead of serving one table first and completing it...

The pub itself had an awful odour for the whole night..

Overall I would 100% not recommend this place as part of a package for hen parties... Was totally disappointed. 

Worst experience ever!

This was the best hostel I’ve ever been to. It was so clean and comfortable. Very easy to feel at home. The sheets were white and clean and so we’re the towels. One of the best in Kilkenny. You should definitely do yourself a favor and choose this hostel if you’re in the area.

Definitely go!

This hostel was in a great location in Kilkenny, right across from the pub by the same name and on a street of shops and restaurants. It was recently redone, clean and comfy, and the staff was very welcoming.

Perfect Location

This was my first time staying in a hostel and it definitely set the bar high! The hostel has been recently renovated so everything is up to date and very clean. The room I was in wasn’t filled completely but even if it was there would be plenty of space for everyone. There were also two full bathrooms connected to room which was super convenient. This hostel exceeded my expectations!

Clean and Spacious!

This was my first hostel stay and it was great! The room was booked for our whole group so we were all together. It was newly renovated and was not what I expected a hostel to be like, but better! The staff was very friendly and helpful. If you have a chance you should go down to their bar which is right in front of the hostel! Perfect location in Kilkenny and is surrounded by many stores for things you may need extra of for your trip.

Great place to stay!

This was my first time staying at a hostel and it was amazing! I was able to get closer with my friends and the rooms were so nice! The staff are extremely friendly and it’s in a good area too!!! Definitely a good place to stay since you’re near so many shops and restaurants
