Periyar Green Homestay (Bed & Breakfast) is an absolute gem in Kumily. Its location is a nature lover's dream, nestled right by the jungle with a sprawling balcony that offers breathtaking views of a lush valley filled with trees – a haven for birdwatchers. We were treated to frequent visits by Indian Grey Hornbills and our luck extended to spotting the elusive black monkey (Nilgiri langur) and the famous and rare Indian giant squirrel. Now, let me tell you about the hosts, Binu and Leha. They're the kind of people who make you feel right at home, incredibly friendly and always ready to lend a hand. Leha is a wonderful cook and Binu is a reliable driver who's there whenever you need him. The room itself is spacious, and the bed is very comfortable. I had the best three nights of sleep. Without a doubt, I wholeheartedly recommend Periyar Green Homestay. It's undoubtedly one of Kumily's finest homestays, offering a serene and peaceful escape for nature enthusiasts.
