Lovely place stayed 1 night evening meal on the beach . EXCELLENT  food enjoyed our stay here . Samos is a lovely little bay would definitely stay
 there again. Hotel staff very welcoming and very helpful .


We found this restaurant totally by chance. It is right around the corner from the busy sea front restaurants, bars and cafes. The live music is wonderful, service is great. We had the most fun of the week in the island.

this hotel restaurant in the middle of winter is a delight. Apart from that there is practically nobody and almost nothing is open. It is next to the sea, very well located, my room, on the second floor, with a small kitchen included, and a terrace overlooking the sea. Highly recommended for the price paid: € 32.

We stayed at this hotel for 8 nights the place is in a brilliant location just off the ferry and on a pebbled beach . The sun beds  are free to anyone buying a drink or something to eat.Our room overlooking the sea it was a double it was very clean and towels and sheets changed often,it had a small kitchen but we didn’t use this  for cooking as we were b&b the place is very nice but could do with some  work doing on it . The breakfast was good more than enough for us it was continental .  The meals at night were very nice and good value and music 4nights a week.The staff were very friendly attentive and helpful  . Would stay again if in Samos 

Great restaurant and staff beautiful location, good food, but room was not too nice. If they upgrade rooms and make a lobby, this place could be a paradise. It should not take too much for the upgrade. Manager Iorgos was very nice

We spent our holiday for searching good sea food, especially for a good calamari. Tried many fish restaurants in the marina but not satisfied at all. Tarsanas both provides good food in large portions and a good sea view plus live Greek music. I cannot say the same for its breakfasts but the restaurant can be chosen for a lunch or dinner.

Tarsanas restaurant

We stayed for 3 nights here as part of an Island Hop with friends. First the positives.
It’s in the beach and is close to all the amenities of Pythagorio. It is only a few minutes walk to the ferry. There the positives end.
The rooms are awful, mould all over the shower with a filthy shower curtain, very dodgy electrics, a single grey sheet on a double bed, old blankets in a cupboard, mix and match furnishings, to be fair if we were on our own we’d have moved on somewhere else. It’s beyond awful. A picture says it all, just look!
The staff were very nice and helpful albeit the owner was hard to track down.
We were able to pay by card despite what we were told. I’d never stay here again and recommend you don’t either!

Simply NOT the best!

The owner was very rude and not willing to solve the problems we had, for example the aircondition. He sleeps on the couch of the hotel ‘reception’. The rooms smell very bad, the furniture and toilet are very old and outdated. The rooms do not have power sockets. The breakfast is fair, but the kitchen is very dirty. Good location.

Horrible experience

Made a reservation for 2 nights but only stayed for one night. I could not wait to leave. This will never be a nice hotel with the current owner.  The lobby is his office. It is cluttered with papers and cluttered with his junk. He sleeps on one of the couches at night and the nice young girl is sleeping on the other couch just a few meters away. Very strange and inappropriate since he is about 70 years old and she is about 18.  The hotel is in a 200 year old building and it looks like the rooms were renovated about 100 years ago. The so called deluxe room upstairs with a balcony was the worst hotel room I have ever seen. The bathroom drain near the toilet leaked water all over the place when you took a shower. The owner was not interested in fixing this problem. The biggest asset to this hotel is it is on the beach. However the balconies are unusable and in need of some serious repair. The chairs and table are old and should be thrown out. The floor of the balcony is rotting wood and full of ants. A great safety concern. I did not even go out there it was such a terrible balcony. I would describe the balcony as old, uncared for, small and looking unsafe. The owner must be blind not to fix these sad balconies. The TV in the room was a little bigger than a computer screen. The refrigerator worked good. It would be OK to eat in restaurant there but the owner only wants cash and tells the employees not to take cash. So if you plan on using a credit card to pay for the room and to eat think again because George only wants to line his pockets with your cash. I feel sorry for the employees there. They lie for him and make excuses for his incompetence in managing the hotel. We stayed only one night but the owner charged me for 2 nights. The worst 103 euros I ever spent. And then he had the nerve to ask me to write him a good review. That is a big no no in the hotel business. The towels for our stay were left nicely on the bed. However one of them was either over used or eaten by moths. You could see right through the towel. The last surprise was finding 2 cockroaches in the bathroom at night when I got up to use the bathroom. This hotel is a disaster and I do not recommend it.

What a disaster. Never coming back.

Do not let the pictures fool you this hotel is dated and old and should have be renovated years ago. The owner is not fixing anything. And the restaurant is bad too. Even the cats stay away.   The balcony of the room was unsafe and was infested with ants. I WILL NEVER come back.
