69 reviewsWe couldn't have been more pleased with our choice of hotel for our week in Samos. Hotel Cattleya has so much going for it. Renee, the owner and also the perfect host, made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Being a bit off season we were lucky enough to get a choice of rooms and the one we chose (#4 Ariella) had a superb view of both the sea and the harbour. The room itself was fairly basic but suited us perfectly, a great bed, decent storage, table and chairs on the balcony and a small but perfectly formed bathroom! And that view! Renee took care of out breakfast each day: yoghurt and fruit, perhaps a feta frittata or omelette, maybe a freshly baked croissant, feta and tomatoes, and corn bread plus copious amounts of good coffee. Breakfast was served on the hotels front terrace, bright and warm each day! The atmosphere was always relaxed and, with a key to the hotel, we were free to come and go at anytime of day or night. The other fantastic thing about the Hotel Cattleya was its location! Fairly high up it was no more than 2 minutes walk from a superb small stretch of beach with the clearest calmest sea I have ever swum in. Barely much further in the other direct and down a few more steps you arrive at the start of Kokkari's harbour and a superb selection of restaurants. The Hotel couldn't be better placed. Highly recommended and our thanks go, again, to Renee for making our week so good! xxx
