The Niagara Plus Hotel in Osu, Accra, Ghana is a friendly place to stay.   I have been returning there for years.   Say hello to the owner, Ryad from Mr. Scott.   He will take good care of you.   Their  small kitchen also will provide you with good meals as well as excellent Leboneese food.   They also have an excellent hotel in Adabraka, Accra on Ko Jo Thompson Road run by Ryad's brother Ramiz.
I have been  staying in both hotels since the year 2000.

Friendly family run hotel

The location is prime - right in Osu, near alot of shops and restaurants. The hotel is also safe. The bed was clean. The rooms need alot of work -- toilet leaked water all over the floor, the outlets electrocute when you plug something in, no toilet paper, etc. Our AC worked, but the vast majority of our group did not have working AC. Everyone's room had different issues. For the price, you could get something MUCH nicer. However, we were part of a group and this was our starting point so we stayed there for convenience.  The positive was the wifi.

The best thing is the location

This hotel was the meeting hotel for a small group tour we were booked on. This was our second trip to Ghana, so we are at least slightly aware of what to expect for accommodations, and this hotel is clearly below average of the hotels we have stayed at.

Our second floor room had two double beds that filled most of the room. The whole hotel, including our room, had a grubby, worn feel; like it needed a lot more regular maintenance. The bathroom was small and functional, the shower worked, but only provided a trickle of warm water. The air conditioner made noise like it was working, but produced only a small amount of slightly cooled air, not enough to lower the temperature of the room.

Street and bar noise was noticeable until after midnight, others of our group said that all the rooms were noisy.  The included breakfast in covered courtyard was reasonable, but the service was very slow.  The staff were all friendly and seemed to make an effort if you asked, but in general did not seem up to the tasks.

The Hotel's location in the Osu District is good, a short walk from Oxford Street and an easy walk to the shore, and there are many good restaurants nearby.

For a lot less money than the rates available on the internet for Niagara Plus Hotel, you can find better hotels with swimming pools or perhaps even beachfront.

A convenient location, a so-so hotel

Positive:
-	wifi free and ok
-	AC working soso
-	location was ok … lots of restaurants and night joints around
Negative:
-	fridge in the room not working
-	no towel, no toilet paper
-	when you wanted to shower you got elelectrical shocks
-	loud rooms all night (from pub next door)
