Nice accommodation with good services location and good cleaniless There are so many expensive hotels in Accra. Paloma is bit more reasonable and as a tourist on a budget this is more important. The hotel is clean and the rooms are comfortable. I certainly slept well in a very comfy bed. I struggled with the Air Conditioning a bit so tended to just switch it off a night. A ceiling fan would be ideal though I know over times of year it would be much hotter. It was only 23 Degrees at night so much cooler than I'm used to. The restaurant has a good selection of local and international dishes and all came 

Such a beautiful place to stay at when you want to go out for the day and come back at night. Everyone is lovely and welcoming. Breakfast every morning. Do what needs to be done in the day. Come back and party at night. Go back and sleep on the comfortable beds. Would totally recommend.

Breakfast was also good and included in my rate.
All the staff are very welcoming which is probably why I came back for the third time. Daniel was especially helpful, and Eric is always friendly and my shoes are still shining after a week at home.
The location is very good for me also. I can get to Jamestown for Chale Wote or go see my friends in La very easily.
Always recommended.

It is very difficult to find a decent hotel in Accra for under $100 per night, and Paloma ring road fits the bill. 

Make sure to request a room that is not Street facing, the street facing rooms are very noisy. The staff were accomodating and promptly moved me to another room when I complained about the noise. 

The staff at the hotel were amazing, and were happy to oblige all requests with a smile. The service at the restaurant can be slow by European/US/South Africa standards but good overall. 

The only issue I had was being propositioned by quite pushy prostitutes in the restaurant / bar area on my first evening, but from the next evening they were thankfully not there. 

Due to the hotel and rooms all having tiled floors there isn't adequate sound damping within the hotel, so any movement in the passage is quite audible in the room and every time the lift ws operated the sound woke me up.

1. Not in the greatest area

In summary it's not 5 star, but exceptional value

My stay was comfortable and I really liked the room. The room was spacious and had good light coming from outside. Observations:

1. Bathroom is clean and maintained well
2. Toiletries are provided but once
3. Surprisingly, water had to buy in the room and only one bottle was given at the time of check-in
4. The Restaurant is good and have big space to accommodate lot of people
5. Hotel is on the main ring road and you have every mode of travel is easily available just outside
6. Hotel staff is good and ready to help

Overall I liked the hotel and surely recommend.

Beautiful Place

This was probably once a nice hotel and I still had a pleasant stay, but it’s former glory days are well over. 

Location wise it’s fine. 20 mins from airport and 10 mins from Osu and also the main CBD. My room was ok and was kept very clean. The shower room had been recently renovated but there was barely any hot water. There was no safe in my room. I asked to move but they said they were full. I’m 95.% certain they were not. The area seemed pretty safe, but I wouldn’t have walked around after dark. 

Most of the staff were excellent. I had some wifi issues and the tech guy went out of his way to help. A couple of reception staff were a bit brusk, but not rude. 

Food wise it was mixed. AWFUL buffet breakfast, but some of the evening meals were delicious. The day/evening menu is extensive. Why can’t they fix the breakfast? The fruit juice was always empty, the “hot” buffet always cold. You make your own tea and coffee with sachets in tiny cups. It was possibly the worst hotel breakfast I’ve ever had.

Don’t believe the marketing materials. Some 3rd party websites say they have a spa - they don’t! Some say free airport pick up (there’s a $10 charge). They also say there are a bar, a nightclub and restaurant. They are all one thing! So don’t believe the spin. 

Lastly and I say this with sadness. There is a deaf and dumb guy who shines shoes. I applaud this kind of offering, but he was so persistent. You couldn’t leave the hotel, eat in the restaurant etc without him asking you for money and telling you his sad stories. I gave him money once but he still persisted. It was really awkward. My heart sank each time I entered the compound. 

Overall I really enjoyed my stay. Would I book again? Sorry, no!

Past it’s sell by date

I was forced to move from Manjaro Suites for four nights as they were fully booked for one night, but the comparison is an invidious one, the staff members here are charming but the quality is let down in other ways, a bed that is too hard, resulting in a very poor night's sleep, ineffective air conditioning, and the poorest breakfast that I have experienced anywhere, a dreadful cold croissant for instance, and a choice of hot food that was rather less than tempting. As a result, I am going back to Manjaro Suites for my last three nights of this trip.
