B&B HOTEL Paris Nord 18ème

Let’s get this out of the way. If you’re paying €125 a night for a hotel in Paris, you’re not going to get a ‘big hotel’ experience; don’t expect room or concierge service. What you will get here is a great hotel with fantastic value. So it is still a B&B Hotel, so expect the usual budget hotel check-in and breakfast experience (both of which were good for us). We weren’t expecting our 10th floor room though - almost a suite, complete with kettle and coffee facilites, fridge, large table and chairs, sofa. Really comfortable bed, very clean, great view and great soundproofing - it’s right next to the périphérique and we heard nothing. The cost-savings comes from its location - it’s a 15-minute metro ride, and then a 5-minute walk from the absolute centre of Paris. There are also tram and bus options close by. The area feels a little sketchy, but we had no trouble, even coming back late at night. In summary, if you’re prepared to forgo room service, you’re happy to use public transport, and stay outside the touristy centre, B&B Hotel Paris Nord is a brilliant stay, and excellent value for money. Definitely recommended.
