We stayed in this site for a week so that we could explore the wine routes of Pouilly Fumé and Sancerre. The campsite team were extremely welcoming and helpful, going above and beyond with making our stay a memorable one. It’s a short walk over the bridge into the town of Nevers, a lovely little, very old town with a few restaurants and cafés to choose from. We had breakfast out a couple of times and a superb pizza at a local pizzeria. The site is on the river Loire, affording magnificent views towards the town. We will definitely visit this site again.

A super site and a friendly welcome

As said the Camping is Excellent and the location nice.
In the contrary the city of Nevers don't offer very much. 
We had problems finding a good restaurant in which having dinner, many were closed, at the end we found...

Excellent camping team at the top, pleasant environment on the edge of Loire, 2 steps from the city of NEVERS.

This is excellent camping.

Very welcoming and beautiful environment on the Loire coast, stable and warm, stay for a pilot training course in Magny, a memorable father-son course, I recommend it to anyone going on the circuit.

Camping escape leader not friendly at all night impossible to sleep because of the noise from the neighborhood until at least 3:00 in the morning no shade very proper sanitation no running activity feeding very far away from our location I don't know where they found their three stars and yet it's been over 30 years since I've been camping

Escape Camping

I wasn’t impressed with the booking service at this site, I booked 5 days before arriving as we were travelling across France, and paid a deposit but received a pending booking email. The booking was not agreed until the morning we were due to arrive. I felt a bit held to ransome as they had my deposit but would not confirm or release my money so I could book somewhere else . I sent several emails and attempted phone calls which were never responded to and this was disappointing. It did make the whole process quite stressful! 
The site itself was ok and a good location to explore the town. Small in size. 
My friend did encounter a rude staff member and I have to say the welcome was somewhat under whelming when we arrived. in reception!  We tried to use the snack bar to get an ice cream and the opening times said it was open but the staff refused to serve us saying they were closing up!

Good location but not the greatest welcome!

Well located campsite for visiting the city of Nevers (5 minutes' walk from the city centre), and for cycling (cycling tracks) Restaurant the Navy recommended, 10 minutes' walk. (it is recommended to book)

Four days in Nevers

The Nevers campsite is ideally situated for exploring the city and doing nature activities (canoeing, cycling...). The staff is available and helpful.

A small campsite ideally located on the edge of the Loire and the historic centre.

We stayed for eight nights and only used our car once (to visit Apremont). The campsite facilities were good. There was plenty of shade and sun, so we could sit as we preferred. We walked in and around Nevers several times, and really liked it. We also walked the advertised "Ver Vert" trail, and along the canal branch. 

Excellent campsite with a fantastic view of Nevers

A really thoughtful campsite, well maintained & well run. The facilities are clean and adequate. A great location for exploring the area. A friendly welcome on arrival and a lovely view of the historic town of Nevers across the Loire River from most if not all pitches.  The town is a short walk over the bridge where there are plenty of bars & restaurants.
