Dalian Buzz Light Year Youth Hostel

I stayed for three nights in a private room at the Buzzlight. The room was clean and very good for the price. However, construction works on the opposite side of the street made me start the days early in the morning at that time (which was not too bad ;-)). The social room is really lovely decorated and you always have company by a couple of cats living there. Among the staff there were always english speakers available. They serve proper food – including custom tailored vegetarian noodle soup on request – coffee and a selection of foreign beers and craft beers (but no really cheap options!). In total the place is friendly, safe and well-located with access to a park, from which you can depart for a walk along the coast. However, it takes some time to get there by bus from downtown; but the bus can be easily found on the vertical main road, straight opposite of the central train station, and the schedule is even supplemented with latin script. When getting off the bus, just watch out for the Qwik supermarket and walk behind it. Overall, a nice place to stay at, and I will hopefully come back one day.
